I get your points but at the same time I wouldn't go as far as saying 0 pressure. We've never won a playoff series prior to this and we traded away all of our picks for rentals. I'd say there was a little

Winning 62 games and get swept in the first round. If you look at what they did, it is pretty historic for the NHL. 4 teams have come back from 3-0 in the NHL playoffs. No team from 1974-1975 to now has ever led the league in points and then gotten swept in the first round. Only one other team in that span has led the league by more than 10+ points and lost in the first round.

CBJ will run into a problem if they end up facing the Islanders. I know Tampa was supposed to be a shoe in for the cup...but that was not the same team in the playoffs. I honestly think we would have done the same thing to them.

Tampa lost 25% of the regular season loss total in the first series (which only lasted 4 games). That is INSANE

According to a Canadian on another board, Ovechkin should catch grief tonight.

its hockey, so the Canes won't directly take on Ovechkin but will be fired up to win the game for the kid. I think Ovechicken realizes it was a mistake to knock out the 19 yr old and to energize the Canes as a team.

if the scoring progression continues, tonight's game should be 8-2 Canes....but I'll settle for 4-2. Just be the first to score and light up PNC.

Looking forward to this one. Want to see how McLovin does on that second line for a whole game. Definitely stepped up last game after his friend Svech went down. Also we’ll need Nino and Aho and TT to step up. Nino has been invisible this series. Now’s the time to step up.

Tortorella has a team who is listening to him and played Tampa Bay exactly how he wanted them to.

The Rangers fired him because the players wouldn't listen and didn't play like he wanted them to.

A team in CBJ who wants to show they belong versus a NY Ranger team who feels entitled....

Torts deserves a poo-ton of credit for an impressive first round rout.

I want to keep up this momentum and crush them again. It would be great to demoralize them entirely, although I know a team that has as much playoff experience is not likely to go out like that. I hope they do rough up Ovechkin somewhat. That fug deserves it.

This is the swing game in my opinion.

Winner of this game will win out as I don’t think there are anymore two day breaks. No more days to lick your wounds or get rested for the next one as the one day off will be the travel/rest day.

If we get it done I see our youth being the key to continuously pounding them shift after shift. If we lose it will eliminate any momentum we have and we’ll probably lose in five.

Get this one tonight and then let’s go win the series.

At this point we are icing the damn Charlotte Checkers and I am okay with that.
