RBA seemed to be trying to compose himself during his presser when asked about Svech.  Said he just listened to Ovi's presser, and Ovi said that Svech was the aggressor.  RBA then said he watched the replay multiple times and Ovi slashed Svech twice before Svech returned the favor, then Ovi threw the gloves off.  RBA said Svech is a 19 year old kid who has played 90 gms and never had been in a fight before, so to him, that was troubling the way it transpired.

He also said when he went back to check on him after the period he didnt look good, and when the press asked about him after the game, he said he didnt know because he wasnt in the building.  Said it didnt look good... 

I can only hope he didnt have to be hospitalized.

That fight made me sick. I hope Svech is ok. Ovechkin deserves to be taken out by the team. If we end up losing this series and are down several goals in the last ten minutes I say take him out.

Yeah, the way he landed (back of the head first to the ice while being forced downward without being able to brace himself) was about as bad as a fight can end.  It didn't look good at all.

If Svech is really that bad off, I expect Ferland to go head hunting Thursday if he's healthy. If he doesn't, one of the D guys should. Ovi is a POS and it's well known. Everybody respects him but I just get the feeling that most guys really do not like the guy because of his career-long history of being a dirty scumbag.

I am completely okay with headhunting Ovechkin if the series gets away from us. I would prefer we just rally and rattle off three more wins. No better way to get back than bounce these clowns out of the playoffs.

Aside from the concern about Svech, this game was exactly what I hoped for.  I was banking on getting back home and absolutely destroying them.  And that's just what we did.  I feel like the way we dominated them could end up completely flipping the momentum for the series.  Even with all our mistakes and sloppiness in the first two games, they barely edged us out at home...  then we completely dominate every facet of the game tonight.  That's gonna be in their mind...  not to mention, I hope Ovi broke his hand.

With how we played tonight while being short 2 key forwards, we can absolutely win this series. This was not just a team catching the other off guard. This was total control of a game from start to finish. My only concern is that it obviously was very emotion driven after the Svech fight. Hopefully we can bring that same intensity the rest of the way in this series.

Idk if it's respect so much as fear...  when I've watched him play,ive just always gotten the impression that he is a bully.

Any other sources of Svech's status?  I've heard cleared from local hospital from alleged "friend of family", to broken facial bone from the dude in the Cane's hat at the titty bar? Who did quote some "some other family member" I've never heard of on IG. 

 

Not trying to start a rumor mill just putting out what I have heard and would like more info.

4th career fight comes against a 19 year old kid who he’s been hacking the crap out of all series after the whistle. Scumbag.
