The staff made some adjustments to the lines, which seems to have improved their ability to find mismatches in the 3rd.  That bodes well for making the series competitive.  They looked outclassed in the 1st, chasing the puck, so it's good to see the staff was able to find some adjustments that worked.

Our inexperience showed the first half of the game last night. We dominated play and then they score on a soft goal that should of been routine. After that, we had some mental lapses (bad penalties, blown assignments etc). We got back to our game as it went on. Svech had 2 solid goals and we played more responsible hockey. 

Lots of good things to build off of. I still think we split in DC.

It would be a huge win if we split in DC. I honestly wanted this matchup the least of any of the Eastern Conference teams. I would legit rather be playing Tampa than the Caps. It makes it all the worst that I cannot think of a single team I hate more than the fuging Crapitals.

Well it used to be Buffalo because of that Lindy Ruff stuff but it has quickly become the Crapitals. I. fuging. HATE. THEM.

The penalties gifted the Caps 2 goals. If we cut down on that, we have a better chance.

Penalties definitely need to be cut down. The Caps PP is literally Ovi left circle or slot option. You have to cover one or the other. It's dangerous.

Regardless of what we do, unless we meet them in the Finals, I’m pulling for Vegas. They’ve got such a likeable team and are a great story and their local fan base really is legit.

We outplayed them for the first half of the first period. They spanked us the second half. The PP goals were inexcusable. I think Saturday is a different story.

Side note- when they intentionally go after Aho and Neiderieter, we need to bring somebody in to retaliate. That Oshe dude needs a lower body injury.

I think we all agree that its a young team and it showed in game 1, but even as poorly as we played we still had a chance to tie it.

Trust Rod to make the adjustments.Trust Williams and Staal to set the pace. Trust our defense.

Aho will be a factor in this one.
