Two periods of hockey. 3 goals is not out of reach but we need shutdown hockey the rest of the way. And stop dumb penalties. I'm sure Brindy isn't ripping anybody's ass seeing as it's game 1 but I imagine he's crawling Faulk's ass about that high stick

Yeah, I know the powerplay there is nothing he could do about that...  but yeah, the first was super discouraging.  Never good when you are dominating in possession and SOG, and they score on their first attempt.

It's ok...  we'll see how the rest of the game goes, but I'm waiting for the home games and depending on how it goes, I was hoping it could flip series momentum in our favor.

Tampa had a 3-0 lead after the first period and we saw how that one ended. Hope isn't lost. It's playoff hockey, it's unpredictable. If we can split these first two games and win our 2 home games, we just have to get one more win in DC. We're playing well, just gotta sure up the defensive end and finish our chances.

We're getting out-bodied in both ends. This is why I didn't want to draw the Caps in the first round. This is how they beat us all year, they just denied space to move with the puck and mitigated our playmakers by doing so. 

 

Dump and Chase is not working. Just don't have the muscle in the corners.

The good thing about him this year has been he doesn’t let bad goals get to him. He can allow 3 terrible goals he should’ve saved and instead of getting rattled will step up and play shutdown from there. Most goalies get in their own head when they’re sucking...
