Jordan Rodrigues Mock draft.

Recommended Posts

I would fugging Love this draft

Burns is about the best case scenario at this point with the way we are moving with our defense.  With our major need at edge and getting after the passer.  His rush skills combined with the versatility is a major win

2nd: Chris MF Lindstrom: dude is the #3 best OL on my board behind Bradbury and Jonah William's.  Dude is a man.  People are so blindly focused on the LT spot due to how bad that spot was last year, that we forget how bad we missed Norwell.  Van Roten was not that good of a starter.  Dude was avg and a depth type guy.

Thornhill in the 3rd is perfect as well.  There is going to be GREAT value in the 3rd for safeties.  This is a very Deep class.  Also this FA market was stacked.  Teams use FA to set up for the draft, and many teams with the glaring needs there filled it in FA.  The few that didnt may grab a top kid like the one from Florida in rounds 1-2

Montgomery is a big physical between the tackle RB, the kind you want to compliment CMC.

Field is that athletic Nickel, that we have a glaring hole at

It would be such a Hurney move to wait that long to take a Safety.

Get one of the starter level prospects that are sitting there waiting to be had.

Thornhill is a starter quality player day 1.  I don't know what you're talking about.

We all look at mocks and research around the web that gives us  each a different valuation for most players.   In my  opinion, the DL/edge draft is crazy deep but they will be picked through by the end of round 2.  I  think we get our  best value by taking DL in rounds 1 and 2.

I think we  are  all looking at DE/edge in the first,  but if Sweat and Burns are gone, a good DT would be there.  In the second, there are some DE/edge options--with Addison and Irvin, we may not need a first-round DE as much as a DT.

Round 3, look for a G, S, QB, or CB (2)

I think we can find a player who could compete for a starting job at those positions. There are some good G/C in this draft that will  be there  at the end of rd 3

Like the draft alot.. Go with Wren at DT 3rd round and a big WR instead of a RB in the 4th and its perfect..

Wren has all  the tools, not the productivity (which is why he is there in the third).  Interesting prospect.

If we go pass rusher in round 1 i like the idea of grabbing a versatile lineman we can play inside this year and eventually kick out to RT when necessary. But if the value isn't there (though I think it will be), go safety and take one in rd 3.  This draft could go in so many ways.

Plus he's a good prospect if you're planning on doing multiple fronts.. He can be a 3tech DT in a 4/3 and a DE in a 3/4..
