So according to this, the Panthers or any other team had control over this design, it was a complete new era design choice and for some reason they decided to go with local flags. 

Pretty campy, imo. Just not a big fan of the idea.

I actually think it is kinda hard to fug up something w/ the SC Flag.  SC has a pretty sweet flag that can be incorporated well into things.  But this is a trainwreck.  

SC folks want the SC Flag in stuff.  They don't want the NC Flag junking something up.  Since the NC Flag sucks, NC folks would simply prefer no flags.  Stuff isn't that hard. 

If you do the flag, you almost need two different hats and you don't need it be a main feature.  It is an accent.  Throw it small on the side or back.

The entire line up of hats look like someone turned in the designs one day after it was too late to change them and still make it to market. They'll sell out of them, though, because as HL Mencken once said, "You'll never go broke underestimating the taste of the American public."

I get their flag motif, but the Carolina design is unbalanced and would be better suited on a poster, not a hat.
