You seem to think everyone is basing there assessment of Ferrell’s speed off a 40 time. We didn’t have a 40 time for Lamar Jackson but we know he’s fast. No 40 for Kyler Murray but we know he’s fast. No 40 for Hollywood Brown but Mcshay days he’s the fastest human he’s ever seen on tape.

Ferrell doesn’t look fast, everyone can see it not just one person. His lack of speed and top end power stands out. I think he’s a good football player. His lack of special ability puts a roof on his potential, so I don’t think he’s a good as a lot of these guys can be. He could be better than Gary,Burns, Sweat right now(I don’t think he is)but due to his limited upside It brings his grade down.

Wow so you make more analogies with QB's and WR.. Players can actually see running in open spaces on tape.. Which you really can't with players in the trenches.  Nobody before the combine could see Sweat running a 4.4 because again you can't see that from tape which we had 3 years worth...

And Ferrell is only .26 behind him in the 3 cone and .11 behind him in the 20 yard shuttle.. Plus the fact he put up more reps on the bench press.

SO while you have Sweat as super athlete "on tape" lol.... the short area drills show that Ferrell isn't that far off from him and stronger..

Sooooooooooooo again you need to stop going by what you read unless you have a basic understanding what it means... Not being a elite athlete doesn't mean you're not a really good athlete.

And you keep making lame excuses for a guy that clearly isn't the same caliber as the other guys in the tier ahead of him. You can see short area bursts of quickness even in Defensive ends. Yes people knew Sweat was fast before the combine, not 4.41 but nobody thought he would run lower than a 4.6. I make analogies people can understand.

Again genius the drills showing short area burst  only show a difference of .26 and .11 seconds.. That's not a big difference.   And for all your BS "what ppl thought before the combine " theory.. Most analyst and draft talking head had Ferrell rated higher than Sweat, Burns and Gary.. Ferrell was rated as a top 10 pick before the draft process began. ..  Sooooooooo it really doesn't help your argument talking about what ppl were saying before the Senior Bowl and combine..

where lol because i have shown u almost every major brand and no they dont have Ferrell Rated higher than most of any of them.... Maybe burns at times.. He is rarely ever ahead of Sweat or Gary... stop the lies man. And Ferrell's athleticism is the main reason he isn't talked about top 10. People have seen the tape. His production is probably better than Bosa's,why isnt he mentioned top 5 then?

IF your talking about before the draft process started then yeah drew lock was the number 1 qb. Will Grier was a first rounder, but as time goes on people get more tape on you they start to measure out who you really are. I’ve got espns rankings, cbs rankings, rotoworlds rankings he’ll even athlons ranks Ferrell is a tier below those guys and we all know why. Most people have Ferrell with a late 1 early second round grade.

I don't care who we get at FS as long as he has solid instincts and is a football player (tackles, hustles and understands the game, coverages, etc) with decent speed. I don't care how fast someone is, a wrong step or getting faked out, you're not always gonna recover. Good character is a plus, he helps the players around him be better.

He won't get it.. I'll just keep pointing out to him how he brings up a guys name he doesn't like constantly in threads that had nothing to do with him...

This didn’t involve u... u keep bringing the spotlight back on u and Ferrell.. it wasn’t even about him please go start a fan club buy the man some flowers take him on a date or something.. just stop pandering this nonsense around here.

Ferrell plenty fast and quick enough...

That’s your opinion but not the majority of scouts and people who do this for a living. Which is why he is never mocked in the top 10 or to anyone other than us. If this was the case with his production he would be where bosa is.

If production is all that matters and one is“plenty fast enough” why is the guy with less tape and less production projected to go ahead ahead of the other guy in every draft conversation? Answer, because production is a symptom not the cause of way plays happen. Production happens because of a players athletic ability or skills. Coach or talent around a player can also cause production.

If a guy is very productive but his abilities don’t match the production people go back to the tape, look at the guys around them and scheme to see why he won so much. This seems to be the consensus with Ferrell. He won because of the situation he was in. That’s the only logical reason he isn’t being mocked ahead of bosa.

we aren't picking in the top 10...false premise to say since he isn't like Bosa he is slow, Bosa is slow then...the reasons he isn't in top 10 are more about questions about whether he benefited from the CU D or he benefited the CU D...the paid for a living guys outsmart themselves sometimes...the avg report is immediate starter ...3 down player strong in run and pass D...excellent hands and technique...hes a first rd pick...not slow at all

false premise about speed and quickness...like all who do this there are favorites ...just like with you ...Bosa isnt any faster than Ferrell and that is what we are talking about... that was the point... again nothing and no one says Ferrell isn't fast or quick enough ...your personal bias is the only evidence... we may not get him but Ferrell will be, barring injury, a long term top DE in the NFL...
