There are the Pats (along with 1 or 2 other teams) that have enough pick spot trade-up firepower to swoop in and take many of these guys (position of need) we are looking at and ruin our day. Hopefully this doesn't happen.

The Pats are not likely to trade ahead of us in the first round. That has not been their MO as an organization while Belichick has been there. I could see them maybe making moves in Round 2 or 3.

They did go after Sony maybe 2 drafts ago along with another player last draft I think it was. That was a trade-up. BB has done it before but they normally don't do it like you said unless it is who they want.

No, they took Michel at 31 and the 23rd pick was a result of the Brandin Cooks trade from April 3rd. No 1st round trades for them on draft day.

I heard Wilson on the Radio yesterday talking about Cajuste.  Didn't really know a lot about him, but if we can get him that would be great! I'm not sure about Thompson either, but the rest of the draft looks pretty good.  I really hope Haynes is ready to step up this year. Then we'll have Haynes and Sweat screaming off the edges like two dobermans..

FWIW I would not be suprised at all if this is how the top 7 shake out, at number 8 on all bets are off.

Arizona 1 Murray

SF 2 Bosa

NYJ 3 Allen

OAK 4 Williams

TB 5 Devin White

NYG 6 Sweat

Jax 7 Haskins

~~~~~
Det 8 Gary
Buff 9 Ed Oliver
DEN 10 Lock
Cincy 11 D Bush
GB 12 Burns
Miami 13 J. Williams
ATL 14 Christian Wilkins
WAS 15 DK Metcalf
CAR 16 Ferrell
friendly reminder we could have had the 9th overall pick
