Good to hear.  But, man...  what a bitter pill to swallow in those investments.  Batum has become a modern-day Jerome James.

I’m glad it’s out in the open now. It just sucks that those terrible contracts are responsible for Kemba possibly leaving

Only way we win with Batum now is we trade him to a team that is close to a championship for an equally terrible contract with one less year.

No way in fug do you give up a lotto pick to unload his contract. We don't need cap space right now we need young talent

The thing is I really can't find a team that would take on Batum.

The only scenario I see this making sense is if Portland decides to soft reboot on the fly, get what they can for McCollum or Lillard from another team. Then shed a minimal amnt of salary with this deal:

I really can't see them doing this either, it would likely take us adding on a few second rounders at minimum or at worst a good young player.

Batum has arguably the worst deal in the league second only to John Wall's

Went to quote you literally just to say what you did in your last sentence before I finished reading it, lol...

Batum, hands down, has the worst contract in the NBA.  It's not even close.

@Carl Spackler made the joke above about Batum being Parsons with an accent, but in all seriousness, I was hoping we would trade Batum for Parsons.  Parsons has been equally useless since getting his big deal, but apparently he was showing out in practice and the brass still didn't want to give him minutes, which led to his exile.  I get the impression Batum is just as useless in practice as he is in games and there is literally no reason to play him.  AT ALL.

Unfortunately, I think we're stuck with him.
