Chad Reuter's 4 round mock draft

1st Jonah Williams - OL

School: Alabama | Year: Junior
The Panthers can play Williams at left tackle to replace Matt Kalil or at left guard if they prefer to putTaylor Moton on the edge.

2nd Juan Thornhill - S

School: Virginia | Year: Senior
Pairing Thornhill with Eric Reid gives the Panthers a strong duo at safety.

3rd Joe Jackson - Edge

School: Miami | Year: Junior
Jackson's power off the edge will make him a true steal if he lasts until this point in the draft. Bruce Irvin was signed to help make up for the retirement of Julius Peppers, but Jackson's a better fit as a 4-3 base end.

3rd Bobby Okereke - LB

School: Stanford | Year: Senior (RS)
Okereke is an underrated prospect with the athleticism and intelligence to be a decade-long starter in place of former Panthers LB Thomas Davis.

4th Darrell Henderson - RB

School: Memphis | Year: Junior
Picturing Henderson in a Panthers jersey is pretty easy, given the success former Memphis Tiger DeAngelo Williams had in Charlotte.

You can see by this mock that if we don't take a EDGE player at 16 there may not be any other instant impact edge guys in the 2nd round.

You never know who will be available late first early second. trading down in the first or up in the second could get the Panthers a pretty good pass rusher

We better not come out of this DL class with just Joe Jackson.

That is my whole point about this draft..

You walk away with a RB you will barely use.. A replacement for TD.. When you might not need a TD replacement and a project DE..  When you need a day 1 starter at that position.. This draft has the sense of a guy who really doesn't know this team or its needs but just has a national view of it..

TD gone you got to replace him without knowing we have 4 young 4/3 LB already on the roster..

Cmac had alot of touches they need a RB.. We had CJ last year and barely used him.. Why do we need to waste a high pick on a barely used backup??
