Moore or Feeley?

I vote Josh McCown......... oh yeah, he is on IR and cant play because Fox/Hurney were so scared shitless that Moore might have to play if Jake got hurt they put McCown on IR so they could sign Feely.

We traded picks, got McCown in the offseason, he is healthy now, but cant play.... what does that tell you guys about how they feel about Matt Moore.

It tells me that Fox is an idiot and makes bad decisions ALL THE TIME! You trust him, your problem. Anyone who uses the "Well Fox is doin' it this way because..." excuse is being ignorant and not seeing the whole picture. :mad2:

I don't buy the logic that signing Feeley equates to no confidence in Moore.

McCown was going on IR. We needed a third guy and Fox would rather have at least one veteran back there as opposed to two young unproven guys.

Moore is still the number two, even with Feeley having had his "crash course".

McCown's injury wasn't that severe and didn't require going on IR. The only reason we put him on IR was because he would be out for 6 weeks and they didn't want to have to rely on Moore who looked poor in the preseason. Othewise there is no way you bring in a WCO guy to replace McCown who had experience in this system. If we see Feeley come in instead of Moore you will know there is little confidence in Moore. If Moore comes in it may be a vote of confidence or simply recognition that Feeley isn't ready to play yet. Either way Moore will have to produce or he will likely be gone next year.

Disagree with the spin on it.

Unless that guy is a star player, holding a roster spot for someone you know can't play for six weeks doesn't make much sense, regardless of who's behind him. Gantt stated that was the thought process that led to McCown being placed on IR. He's also stated that he believes there's a better than 50% chance Moore starts on Sunday.

Feeley. While Feeley sucks, he is lightyears better on his worst day than Moore is on his best.

Yeah he REALLY shined while on that playoff caliber team in Philly whoo hoo yeah boy. I would LOVE to see how people know that much about a player who has really only player a handful of games on this team in two years (Moore). :rolleyes5:

And was average at best against reserves in Seattle and awful against Dallas. He was awful the previous 2 preseasons. He was awful against Philadelphia earlier this year. And he was crap in college.

Feeley is an emergency back-up. Let Moore play and either improve or destroy his FA marketability. Either way he plays his way out of Carolina. Can't keep him if he sucks or pay him a ransom if he plays better than Jake. Damned if you do and damned if you dont.....

Gantt is the one who thinks that Feeley is likely to be number 2 at some point over Moore.

As for needing a third no matter what, Fox has shown he is willing to go with 2 quarterbacks in the past if he believes they can start.

Per his Twitter page, he now puts it at 55-45 probability that Moore starts Sunday.

Yep. A real one. I'm at 55-45, leaning Moore at the moment. RT @1337Hockey Is there actually a chance that Fox will start QB Matt Moore?
