I have not seen enough of Judith yet but she is not believable as a badass to me.  Granted, it could be because of her age so it is very possible it is not the actress' fault.  If she were a couple years older then maybe I would feel different.

Not that I know of, but I think it has kind of been decided for them by the viewers.

They've already announced the movies and even another spinoff, I think. Pair that with the bigger named cast leaving and the drop in viewership, and I wouldn't expect it to last that much longer.

It is still the top rated show on cable.  Despite the drop in ratings.  I don’t think AMC is going to part with the top rated show on TV just because it no longer blows everyone out of the water.  Every network would love those ratings.  

New show runner looks to be an improvement.  If she continues that trend it will help.  Plus it will take a minute for those that left to make it back....plus now I think a lot of viewers are behind.  So a lot of people unhappy are just getting to that point because they watch via Netflix or whatever.  

I mean I don’t watch much TV.  TWD is tired and played out....but I can’t name 3 better shows right now

I'm just really happy the season didn't end on some arbitrary cliff hanger like all the other seasons have.

I thought it was wrapped up rather nicely.

It also seems the writers are trying to make Negan a sympathetic character now. And the nuance of him saying “It’s just that no one ever thinks that they’re the evil one.” Are we now to believe Negan is reformed after all these years?

I mean start the series w/ Negan instead of Rick at the hospital...and Negan might be largely viewed much different.  I mean separating the TV show from the comic.... Negan really hasn't been that worse of a person than Rick.  We just know all the good sides of Rick because we have followed his story. 

I mean before Negan bashed in Glenn's head on the TV show.....Rick and company literally murdered countless saviors.  Probably like a 100 or so and many in their sleep.  Saviors hadn't done poo to Rick at this point and he was just going off of hearsay.  He was a murderer for hire and did it with ease. 

Negan always had a code.  A man gotta have a code.

I’m glad you said this. I mentioned this to some friends. Isn’t Rick and Negan almost like the same person? They have done some of the same things. (Ok Negan did have multiple wives lol) I agree if we followe Negans story in the beginning instead of Rick, we would look at Rick as the enemy. They both did what had to be done to survive. I still watch his show. I liked this season a lot . I’m curious to see how next season goes. I don’t follow the comics at all so I don’t know what to expect next

I would buy the whole "code" thing more if not for his harem.  I do understand the Rick points for sure though

I've said this for a long time. Since the introduction of Negan and before. They are nearly 100% the same character with only slight differences. 

Negan has a little more sadistic tendency. Rick has too much "do the right thing" in him. For each of them, those are their biggest weaknesses.

Negan is probably my favorite comic character, and he should be the main focus of the show now that Rick is gone.
