I have to agree with saca. After those high potential guys are gone, I would rather swing for the fence on a potential super star than just get a rotation guy like Butler..Shaq to a degree.

And it’s not just a “this season” issue. I like both Burns and Ferrell. But both would have issues with a possible full time scheme by a new staff next year. 

   I’m not sure you can maintain the talent necessary to maintain a “hybrid” philosophy over time. But from watching the Steelers 3-4 forever, concentrate on the 5 tech DEs. OLBs can usually be found later in drafts. And those DT/DEs tend to be able to translate to a 4-3 easier.

You don’t trade your next years 1st, when your franchise QB is in a “prove it” situation health wise. And a strong QB class in 2020. That thought should not be under consideration.  

  But picks 2-7......wouldn’t mind at all. Wanted to take this years 3rd and move up to get Justin Reid after we picked DJ last year.

I'd rather have Metcalf in that case. Need someone who has transcendental talent potential. NGL I used to like Ferrell but watching him some more and his lack of athleticism might make him another Kevin Dodd in this league.
