As it stands, current backs on the roster...do we think we'll see a rookie added to this mix, Bonafon is a converted spread QB aka Joe Webb 2.0, and Hood is coming off an ACL.

4- Bonafon

Considering that, there may not be many other opportunities out there available, as a former 5th round pick with minimal touches there just may not be that much interest, if memory serves he was also 24 or 25 years old his rookie year so at this point he is what he is. Outside of depth which is basically readily available on most teams for JAGs at the HB spot, this is probably the best place / only place he could make a final roster.

No kidding. After seeing what happened with CJ, you’d think he’d be itching for a better opportunity. Maybe he didn’t get any other offers. Who knows.

Cap has got to be close to 30.

Im not mad at him. We see RBs get tossed as they get close to 30, so honestly, probably wasn’t much out there for him anyways. 

At this point in his career, it is what it is. Just get the check, Cap.

The Carolina Panthers have re-signed unrestricted free agent running back Cameron Artis-Payne to a one-year contract, the team announced Thursday.

In his career, Artis-Payne has played in 32 games with three starts, recording 491 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 118 attempts.

Artis-Payne was selected by Carolina in the fifth round (174th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Auburn.

Meh, he is been very unimpressive I still want to draft a guy with a little more talent and skill set.

I'm not sure whether we ruined his chances of having an actual NFL career or whether we've basically given him free paychecks for years when no one else would've had him. Not sure I've ever seen a player stick on a roster for so long while being inactive the majority of the time.

l also predict this will be the year that Damiere Byrd has a breakout season, Josh Gordon stays clean and Michael Vick finally masters the West Coast Offense.
