Early Depth Chart Check - How We Look on Paper

Positions in this color I see as the obvious choices for early upgrades and/or depth**

I have to say gentlemen if I'm just looking at starters right now (barring health) I'd have to say we look to be in pretty good shape as we still are early in the off-season, and approaching the draft. 

I am very interested in seeing how some of the 3-4 looks might translate (which is why I posted that specific group to show the assumptive personnel based on the current roster). 

Whether we add DL then OL in the 1st or vice versa along with the current 2 3rd round selections we could see some starting positions upgraded, as well as some quality depth added if we get the picks right. 

Another month until the draft, I can't wait!

I know we really value Larsen's versatility as a backup because he can fill in any of the three interior OL spots but I also think you have to play your best five OL and I can't be convinced that GVR is better than Larsen. If we sign or draft an upgrade at LG, then keep Larsen in that versatile backup spot but of we don't then play him at LG and if an injury forces an OL reshuffle then it is what it is, but don't wait for an injury to force you to play a better player.

Completely forgot about Seymour.  I think Cockrell will be a huge part of our potential success.  If he can play solid at nickel, that would be immensely important.  Need a big upgrade at that position regardless.  Munnerlyn cost us a couple of games singlehandedly by being worthless

We are still going to play a 4/3 defense guys.. I don't understand why some of you think the 3/4 will be our base defense.. Shouldn't you have a 4/3 alignment shown??

Drafting a Guard if a good one is there in any round would be good choice. Even round one although it wouldn't be my first choice because Newton with time and weapons will win games.

Yeah we just need more guys that can play both so we can do our 3-4 formation more often. It's not going to be our main look.

Just not a big fan of using 1st round picks on interior OL. Especially when we have huge needs at pass rusher and DL and this is quite possibly the best pass rusher and DL draft ever. Using a 1st rounder on an OG this year would feel like a huge waste of an opportunity.

Totally agree we need a HB in this draft.  I’ve taken a shine to Justice Hill and I think if we are going to get CMC some rest we need a back that can do CMC type things.  Would love Hill later.
