You girls are falling deep hole with these combine numbers crap.

Your the one denying the evidence... not that Clowney wasn’t an incredible athlete. But based of the combine Sweat is better as just an athlete. Am I saying he is a better football player? I dunno. But he certainly has the potential to be as Good or better than Clowney. If it wasn’t for Bosa and Williams I’m sure Sweat would be getting top pick looks.

But as it stands he’s getting projected like 6 in a deep defensive line group.

Oh I also didn't mention my draft crush Gary.I also think he is a "Generational talent" at the position. His numbers are Borderline never seen at his size. Does that mean he will put up big sacks and be a stud? No. But he surely adds talent to a stud group. I don't think any group in memory really compares...

Bosa, Quinnen and Allen are elites.

The rest are NOT elites for the last time.

And you must be on some good drugs if you really think Sweat is on Clowney’s level.

It wouldn't take much to be on Clowney's level. He's a good player, nothing more. His production is not that hard to match.

Size and speed wise I would even argue that Sweat Matches up Favorably to Clowney....

Sweat is not in the same stratosphere as Clowney.  Clowney was the first overall pick in the draft and was considered a once in a decade type player - Sweat won't come close to this. Clowney was the only player that I can recall who was the top prospect coming out of high school AND college. Sweat ran a fast 40 but get real man.

Clowney had some injuries early in his nfl career and he's somewhat playing out of position as a 3-4 olb. He's a natural hand in the dirt 4-3 DE. He was 6-6/275 at South Carolina - perfect body type for a 4-3 DE. He also has made the pro bowl the last 3 years.

Ssshhhhh cant ever argue with Chuck

But 100% agree with you as does everyone other than trolling Chuck

And its not even just combine stats

Clowney in his 3 full seasons at South Carolina

24 sacks 47 TFL

Sweat in just his 2 seasons at Miss State

22.5 Sacks and 30 TFL.

So statistically they were on the similar path as far as TFL but Sweat was actually better at getting after the QB

Edge this draft is weird. More top end guys than usual and then a wasteland.

DL looks like you can get a starter even into the sixth round (a run stuffing type like demarcus christmas).

I know DT is sucking a bunch of our cap right now, but I'd love to take a NT and a DT than can play some at big 3-4 d-end (Omenihu, Oliver, Gary or Dremont jones).

You forgot Josh Allen ... he would also be higher than Davenport..

He would be ranked around the Sweat, Ferrell, Burns Polite and Gary group.. For sure thoe

I don't even see Davenport there. He's definitely first round or high second imo because of the small school he came from.

Sweat would be a OLB I wouldn't mind trading up for. He was a absolute buzzsaw in the SEC.

This statement may not be accurate because these 3 may all be busts in the NFL. No player being drafted is a guaranteed elite player.
