How Would You Feel About Drafting Oline in R1 Now That We've Got Paradis and D.Williams?

As much as I like Jonah, If most of the superior D lineman are gone I think it would be foolish not to draft the best CB or Safety in the draft as we still need more depth and have a lot of question marks in our secondary.

Our secondary.....actually our D in general especially the DLine and secondary need some much needed talent so i would hope we seriously consider DT/CB/S in the first round if our edge rusher isnt there....

Our secondary talent outside of FS is fine. They look bad because they have to cover for half the quarter before our defensive line can create a pass rush.

Depending on how the draft board falls I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to it. Not big on drafting interior OL in the 1st noattet what. Buy, DW is only on a one year contract. We very well could he just as OT desperate next offseason as we were this one. If an OT is the BPA, draft him.

Hurney is quietly taking care of business in the off season so far. I think I'm going to trust who he picks in the first round (he has a darned good track record there). Right now, I've even got confidence in him for second, third and beyond rounds.

I think there's actually a plan in place and we're moving methodically through it.

Can't wait to see who we get.

If the guy can play both OT and Guard  (like Williams or Cody Ford) I'm okay.. He starts out the year as LG and if Moton or DWilliams gets hurt he goes to their position.. That's just a good covering your bases job.. IF it's just a Guy who plays just OT or OG than I rather go Secondary 1st and get that type of Oline player later..

I'm curious about how you guys feel about this. I've lately been going through quite a few mocks and most of them have the premier Dline talent flying off the board before pick 16. That leaves us pretty much with several options but most mocks have us selecting Oline.

I think I'd like this. We've seen how this team gets shredded once we have 1 or 2 Oline go down so.. Honestly I'm willing to wait another year to find a long term solution to our pass rush if it means completely beefing up the Oline and having a dominant road grinding big men that don't let anyone even sniff Cam in the pocket.

Here's my most recent mock as an example with 2 olinemen in the first 3 picks. In this mock a bunch of DEs all flew off before our pick as per usual. What say you?

YOUR PICKS
1: R1P16

OT JONAH WILLIAMS
ALABAMA
2: R2P15

S NASIR ADDERLEY
DELAWARE
3: R3P13

C GARRETT BRADBURY
NC STATE
4: R3P36

EDGE JOE JACKSON
MIAMI
5: R4P13

S ANDREW WINGARD
WYOMING
6: R5P16
EDGE JONATHAN LEDBETTER
GEORGIA
7: R6P14

DL ED ALEXANDER
LSU

I still say we draft OL, we need depth due to inevitable injuries.  The rest of the rounds I would take Defense.

I'm not using a top 20 1st round pick to draft for depth.. If you're not looking for day 1 starters out of your 1st 2 picks .. You're wasting the process and hurting yourself financially in the future..

So say we draft a OT 1st.. What position does he play at?? Dwill is on a 1 year prove it deal and if healthy he starts.. And Moton had a good season no way he goes back to the bench.. So where does your 1st round rookie OT play if he can't play guard or center..
