How Would You Feel About Drafting Oline in R1 Now That We've Got Paradis and D.Williams?

I'm curious about how you guys feel about this. I've lately been going through quite a few mocks and most of them have the premier Dline talent flying off the board before pick 16. That leaves us pretty much with several options but most mocks have us selecting Oline.

I think I'd like this. We've seen how this team gets shredded once we have 1 or 2 Oline go down so.. Honestly I'm willing to wait another year to find a long term solution to our pass rush if it means completely beefing up the Oline and having a dominant road grinding big men that don't let anyone even sniff Cam in the pocket.

Here's my most recent mock as an example with 2 olinemen in the first 3 picks. In this mock a bunch of DEs all flew off before our pick as per usual. What say you?

I've been going back and forth. Basically in Round 1 my choice would be in the following order assuming Sweat and Oliver are off the board.

1. Burns - has jumped to my number one. I would probably even take over Sweat.

2. Jonah Williams - he can start as guard and move to left tackle or stay guard

3. Gary- I think he drops but is still behind the other 2.

I would if the DE you want doesn't fall to us. There's no guarantee Moton or Williams doesn't get hurt. And If he was that good, Moton could play LG and that's an upgrade or there's a 1st rd rated OT/OG that might be worth it (Cody Ford) that maybe we move a few spots back and get and pick up another 3rd.  I actually think this is a smarter move if who they really want is gone..

I'd feel super great about it. Go rewatch Cam getting pummeled a few times and you will feel great about it too

Cam and the other two QBs

the owner said what he wanted and he writes the checks

Hard to believe the people putting so much faith in two linemen coming off injury

    • I don't think Rodgers but probably not for the political reasons I bet a lot of posters are motivated by. I just think he is not the QB for the Panthers, at all.
    • Sun Devils just scored another TD on BYU, 14-0
    • It wasn't great but  the 2022 NYG won 9 of 16 games plus a playoff game. He had a 92.5 passer rating. 15 pass TDs 3200 yards, 7 rushing TD, 700 yards 6 fumbles 3 lost.  His first season he had 18 fumbles lost 11. Wow.  Anyhow he had problems in 2023 with injuries and didn't win poo before tearing his ACL. This year, no Barkley, not good, but you know.... these ACLs take a while and it was right and he throws right so pushes off of it.  I agree it doesn't hurt to let that guy compete cheap. You don't hand him the job like with Bryce or NYG with him.  When I look at what we have been saddled with, he doesn't look worse and has the physical advantage. So I don't get the umbrage given our situation. This "No we won't settle for anything less that the best" attitude and then taking Bryce Young was pathetic and I think that attitude brought us to where we are. That's where that poo gets you. Away from Mayfield, away from Darnold, even away from PJ - just to replace them with an inferior PJ.  At the same time I am not really advocating for the guy just looking at it objectively. It could be another guy with the same story. And yes the odds of him getting it are low but the numbers and performance from 2022 are for sure better than we see with Bryce even after a season of major propping him up with better players around him. Take a look don't take a look he fails or he doesn't fail...   to instead sit here and be happier with what we have is bullshit.
