How many Qb’s go before #16

It’s prediction time.  Just wanted to get a feel for the Huddles thoughts on how many QB’s go before our pick at #16.  I have 2 reasons for this question. One, the more QB’s go before us the better the opportunity a stud drops to us.  Secondly I am also looking at a situation that since the Giants are behind us and the really need a QB we may have some trade opportunities if they don’t select a QB at 6 and are hoping to grab one at 17.

My prediction.

#1 Cards take Murray

after that the Raiders, Bucs, Giants, Broncos, maybe Bengals, and Dolphins may be in play for a QB.

I think both Haskins and Lock go before #16.

Grier is the wild card.  But he did just light up his pro day. And the Turner meeting IMO was just to put pressure on some teams to possibly trade up with us.  I do t think there is any way in hell we would actually take him at 16.

Final prediction.  3 QB’s go before 16 and since the Giants won’t take a QB at 6 someone will look to trade with us.  Well at least I hope they do.

What say you?

Maybe three.  Murray and Haskins should both go.  I think Verge source said some teams are high on Daniels.  Lock could be fourth, but I think two more likely than four.

Both Lock and Grier were supposedly outstanding in their Pro day.  I have not heard about Daniels Pro day. I assume it’s coming up.  I hope he kills it too. More the merrier.

Kyler is going to Arizona.

I think NYG will pass on a QB and go with a pass rusher, Devin White or Greedy with their first pick.

Denver could go with a QB if Elway falls in love with a Drew Lock.

Washington has a good chance to go with a QB.

Cincy is the sleeper team.

And I dont see Oakland taking a QB that high. Too much value there for them to pass on one of the elite pass rushers.

So I see the most 2 QBs before 16.

One thing we can be sure of, if Elway falls in love with a QB we know he'll be a bust, and I've thought that of Lock anyway.

Hard to believe there won't be more than two QB taken before 16, maybe as many as four.

Considering the success teams are having with qbs on rookie deals, if you’re a team who needs a qb, it’s worth taking a flyer on one after pick five or so.

I think three will go before we pick:  Murray, Haskins, and one wild card that some team will trade up into the teens for.

    • Yep he made the comment " I dont know what they were doing out there at that point" in the press conference. Let's be real they all got paid but they also know his system suppresses there offensive potential.
    • Yup the casuals on Facebook ive gotten 85 laughing or angry emojis so far for pointing it out.  The amount of them throwing a fit because the canes were booed is insane
    • Why are you so fixated on yards? Even if yards were a good judge of QB play, his low yardage totals in some of those games were partly a function of drops (looking at you Xavier Leggette…).  I’m not advocating that Bryce was elite for the last half of last year, but the eye test certainly supported high level QB play for large stretches. He made a lot of high difficulty, put it on the money/drop in the bucket throws. He converted on 3rd and 4th down, kept drives moving, and put the team in position to win games. And it’s not on him that the defense blew it late after he led game tying drives, Leggette dropped a game winning TD, or Chuba fumbled the ball in OT. We could have finished the season close to .500 with wins against 3 playoff teams including KC and Philly during that stretch largely due to Bryce’s play.    Has he sustained this level of play long enough to deserve an higher ranking? No. But for judging based in that stretch alone, he would. But whether he can perform more consistently at that level or build on that, and thus earns a higher ranking, remains to be seen.
