The Leftovers and The Wire are the only superior shows ever made

You've missed some good ones, then.

Shameless, Ray Donovan, Six Feet Under, Weeds, House of Lies, Barry, Silicon Valley, waiting for season 2 of Succession, Oz, Vice Principals, The Newsroom... all very good in their own right.

Some very good ones on that list.  To be honest, I currently have Six Feet Under in the three spot on my all-time list.  That is based on the fact that Deadwood had no ending while Six Feet Under had the GOAT finale.  What Deadwood put out though as superior in my opinion and I anticipate the film allowing me to finally  flip the two next month.

I adored The Newsroom and have watched the whole series at least four times.  It is such an enjoyable watch with likeable characters.  I wish it was still on, can only imagine what they could do with the current political climate.  While I prefer it to almost anything from another network I do feel as if it is second tier compared to HBO’s greats and lean towards The West Wing where Sorkin is concerned.

I love Succession!  I heard the creator on the Lebatard Show the week of the finale.  Dan was very high on the show so I began watching that weekend and streamed the entire season in time of the finale.  Very addicting.  Cannot wait for S2 of both that and Big Little Lies.

Oz was a great show that is on my rewatch list as I saw it when I was much younger.  It does not get the credit it deserves for the way it and The Sopranos changed TV.

Really enjoyed all of the Showtime shows you mentioned, especially Shameless.  That and The Tudors were my favorites of their shows.

Multiple people have been urging me to watch Barry, just have not gotten to it yet.

    • I think a lot of wrs are going to go in the second round before we pick.  There are a lot of wr needy teams.  I think there will be a big run on them in the late 30s and 40s.
    • Interesting that they met with Walker three times and Cam Jackson twice.
