I predict Hurney will finish up our free agency tomorrow by signing a few depth players. He waited until right before the annual league meetings on Friday, 3/23 last year and signed Cockrell, Sirles, and Searcy on the same day.

Maybe, but I don’t think that is how they are looking at him.  Irvin would not have come out to say how he want to “get his hands on Cox” (chime in Juan) if he was going to be a DE.  Irvin wants to work with him on OLB.
