Cornerback Tim Harris, who performed well during Shrine Game practices, put up some incredible testing marks.

Harris measured 6016 and 197 pounds and hit 39 inches in the vertical and 11-foot-7 in the broad. His times in the 40 ranged from the high 4.3s to the low 4.4s.

Harris met one-on-one with eight teams including the Carolina Panthers, Green Bay Packers, San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Chargers.

Damn.   Nice pro day.

2 new RB draft prospects on the horizon.

  • Elijah Holyfield, Georgia | PRO | CBS Position Rank:
  • Travis Homer, Miami (FL) | PRO | CBS Position Rank:

Our RB coach went to both of these pro days.

Mom just not sure about Holyfield at the next level with that 4.7 40 time.

I like Homer a lot. I liked Holyfield until he ran like a lineman. He probably won't translate but Athens isn't far so it's worth checking him out.

I heard some buzz on homer that he runs much bigger than his size.  Haven’t watched tape on him yet though.

New WR on our radar.  We met with him at his pro day.

Nick Easley shows quick-shift ability and just wants an NFL 'slot'

Wide receiver Nick Easley said he ran 6.5 seconds in the three-cone drill and 3.8 in the short shuttle (he previously set a program record with a 3.77 in that skill). Those are impressive times for the 5-11, 205-pounder who figures to be lined up in the slot exclusively at the pro level. The ability to change direction and accelerate quickly off the line of scrimmage are paramount.

That’s almost elite quickness for a slot receiver.  He’s still a late round project.  And of course the Bills are flying out to give him a workout.

So

If this list in that site is updated

We have met with 2 edge guys expected to go in the top 15 and another Rd 1 Edge guy

We haven't met with 1 OT projected to go in the top 25.  All Rd 2-3 OTs

All the safeties we've met with are projected late Rd 1- late 2nd Rd guys. (Possibly 1-2 of them could fall to the 3rd)

All the DTs we've met with. 2 are projected Rd 1 the others Rd 2-3

If at the end of round three we've added an edge rusher, DT, OT, and S then I'll be pretty damn happy.

Honestly, it has to be QB Jarrett Stidham at Auburn. He might be the only player they have who gets drafted this year. He's predicted by most to be a 3rd-4th rounder, but as high as the 2nd by some.

Jamal Dean, big corner

@ncfan Same as a couple weeks ago. It seems really obvious that DL is our focus round 1 and S/G/RT is 2nd/first 3rd. After that, it’s hard to guess because so many different guys might be available.

I’m happy with that approach. On the current team, which with a healthy Cam is a playoff contender, the biggest bangs for the buck are Edge/3-4 DE, FS and G. That’s it. Those are the 3 spots we could make huge improvements over the current starters some of whom are starters by default. The reason I don’t mention Nickel is because I think Cockrell could be a big improvement. I just hope he’s healthy. If he isn’t or Daryl isn’t then CB and RT are big holes not just depth needed.

Agreed.  DL in the First. Sweat,Burns,Ferrell, Wilkins

trade down in the first we could look at Lawrence, Adderley, Jones.

Second round is looking like OT, S, G

i also think we are gonna pick up a RB from the 3-6th rounds.  Best way to keep cam upright is to give him a decent running game. And if CMC misses any time it’s gonna be tee off time on cam. I do t think they let that happen. They are gonna get another decent RB to keep defenses off balance.

Didn't we have that in CJ lol. We had him for like peanuts and now he is going off everywhere else.

In addition to previously reported interest in Washington's OT Kaleb McGary and S Taylor Rapp, the #Panthers also "expressed significant interest" in CB Byron Murphy at his Pro Day, according to @RobRang: https://footballmaven.io/nfldraftscout/news/washington-s-big-three-generate-record-nfl-crowd-and-impactful-pro-day-results-8xk8U5qE70eg5fFFEEtSIQ/
