Annual Prospect Meeting List

Thought it was about time to start tracking this since our visits will be coming up and Pro days are in full force this week.

Here are a couple new interesting people that have emerged from Pro days.

Talked with both Bobby Evans and Dru Samia at the OK Pro day.  Not the ones i would have thought   Ford and Powers are the higher ranked players.

Terrill Hanks LB  New Mexico- Pro day and had a meeting with him.  Mayo replacement.

Clayton Thorson -QB Northwestern- Pro Day and Meeting

Ty Gangi QB- Nevada- Who knows?

They also have Clenin Ferrell listed under local but I think that is for his Pro day  not his upcoming visit

Here are where our coaches have been spotted:

  • Auburn – GM Marty Hurney
  • Buffalo – QB Coach Scott Turner
  • Clemson – GM Marty Hurney, DC/Dline Coach Eric Washington, & Dline Coach Sam Mills III
  • Michigan – Dline Coach Sam Mills III
  • New Mexico State – LB Coach Steve Russ
  • Northwestern – GM Marty Hurney & OC Norv Turner
  • Oklahoma – GM Mary Hurney & OL Coach John Matsko
  • Vanderbilt – DB Coach Perry Fewell

So who is so interesting at Auburn for Hurney to go there?  Thoughts?

You can follow along here.  Best site for tracking what we are doing

Honestly, it has to be QB Jarrett Stidham at Auburn. He might be the only player they have who gets drafted this year.

Jamel Dean. Cornerback.

Played very well last year, considering one of his hands was in a cast. 6'1, ran a 4.31 at the combine.

Seen as raw, which means he could contribute on special teams and hopefully become a good backup/starter a couple years down the line.

just my guess though.

As a reminder, teams are allowed to bring 30 #NFLDraft prospects in for a private visit. Local prospects or those who attended school nearby don't count. If I'm not mistaken, 2 of the 30 reported are: Alabama State OT Tytus Howard Texas A&M C/G Erik McCoy

Based on the visits so far, 1st round looks like: Sweat, Wilkins, Ferrell and maybe Lawrence

2nd round: Adderley, Thornhill, Risner, Little(?), Polite(?) - I put questions because their combines were so bad that they may have been moved down

Too hard to guess at 3rd/4th round+, but looking like DL in 1st in FS or OL in 2nd.

I hate to agree with  you, but this is exactly what I was thinking.  To offer a response to your  question--the OK linemen (Evans, a project LT, specifically) in the third makes sense.  I think we have to be looking at Ferrell in the first, a DT or S in the second (Little or Risner could change that)

1.Clelin Ferrell DE Clemson (I think Ferrell is going to be the pick if on the board, but  he did not participate in pro day and we sent our DL staff there--could we be looking DT?)

2. Erik McCoy C/G Tex AM  (A starter on  day 1 at LG, future C)

3. J. Thornhill, S Virginia (I saw him and liked him--have seen him projected as a SS, but  I think he can do both--fwiw)

3. Clayton Thorson, QB Northwestern (If Norv likes him, we draft him a round earlier than he should be drafted)

4. Bobby Evans OT, Oklahoma (huge upside, lotta work needed, from what I hear)

5.  Hanks LB--I  think he ran a 5.0 40, going from memory at combine.

6. Bosa, DE Ohio State.  I hear he had 3 cavities at his most recent dental visit  Will fall to us in the sixth round. (just to see if anyone reads this far)

Lol...he sucks...

I think that drops Bosa to UDFA we will pick him up then.

Yeah you could be right. Hurndog loves his speed. He is not done with hunting speedy guys.

McCoy at 46 would be really nice. The local visits will be interesting. We can visit with any Clemson player without counting them.

I have never heard if Clemson was included in our 3 FBS schools that don’t count for visits.  I know Wake and SC are included.  It would be awesome if Clemson is a part of that.  Nice to have a powerhouse be able to farm prospects without them counting as visits and showing our cards before the draft
