Mack is going to have a hard time this year. The two FA guards that Atlanta signed are mediocre at best. I hope we spend at least 2 of the 2nd, 3rd, 3rd comp, 4th and 5th on a LG and a developmental tackle (like Thomas, solid potential even if he's not starting year 1). The other 3 can be another DL, FS and nickel (or DL triple).

I know everyone wants a back up QB, but I don't see any of the guys in this draft being better than Allen. Not the Allen in college, but seemingly the guy who looked solid against NO and was the top ranked HS QB. This is a bad QB class and I feel like we are just drafting a QB who's not going to be a franchise QB. We aren't going to get Tom Brady lucky.

I'm not big on either of OGs either, but I always respect that zone blocking scheme. (super glad cut blocks are gone too). Gibbs should be in HOF, that system has changed the game and had staying power. If one or both are able to fit, it will be a big issue for defenses.

Honestly before today's news about Irvin, I did not object to spending ALL seven picks on DL/OL. A one year deal should change that feeling, but it feels extreme now. 2OTs, LG, 2DEs, and 2DTs in a solid draft class with talent throughout the whole draft, why not?

Backup QB, I had Allen as a training camp arm at best. No way he makes it past the first cuts, second cuts and for sure is NOT practice squad worthy. During that one game, he showed plenty. Honestly, the role of a backup has changed. They are asked to run the scout team and mentally prepare the starter.  I don't know if Allen is seasoned enough for those roles(or a rookie), but he sure shocked me this passed year. I wanted Trevor siemian as the backup.
