To your point and the point of the article- carnivore is a real good diet. It’s devoid of anything processed. I eat steak, fish, eggs and some dairy. It’s highly anti-inflammatory and promotes healing. The fact remains that there’s nothing in plants “needed” that I can’t get from a carnivorous diet AND I get to skip out on all the junk that accompanies plants like sugar, pesticides, fiber, etc.

Here's a good resource you’ll ignore, but ignorance is a choice

Fiber is junk?

Gave it a quick breeze. Again I will reference Japan and the Ryukyus. This guy says sweet potato’s and yams occasionally, which shows me he hasn’t fully researched everything as the staple food of the Ryukyu people is Purple Yams. It’s been scientifically proven that has a large part in the fact they are in the top three centennials on the planet.

Click on the yams link( https://www.marksdailyapple.com/difference-yams-sweet-potatoes/ ), he says Okinawan Purple Sweet Potato is one of his current favorites and they are a staple in the Asian market.  "Plus, the long-lived, fairly healthy Okinawans have traditionally used Okinawan purple sweet potatoes as a staple food. All the evidence seems to support their status as a healthy, delicious tuber."

He also states information is still gathering and it comes down to personal preference about yams, potatoes, and spuds.

Thing is @Jackofalltrades and @Jeremy Igo are at the extremes opposite of their diets AND it works for them. With some open mindness, each could learn from the other.

I've given up on trying to get vegans to see the truth. They believe what fits their agenda. Hearts are in the right place but the logic is flawed. Show them history, monkeys hunting for meat, mans brain, diets of early man, tool making changed teeth, organ design, they will not believe.

I still laugh at my vegan friends feeding their cats and dogs meat, while they eat like rabbits. Whatever works for you, lean meat and lots of vegetables work for me!

Your second paragraph expertly explains your first. There’s a shitload of money to be made, just look at who funds the studies you’re referring to. The carnivore movement is growing very rapidly and for good reason. I love NOT eating glyphosate, oxalates, lectins, fiber, fructose and myriad forms of low bioavailable vitamins and minerals. I eat locally sourced, grass fed beef and local, pasture raised chicken eggs for 95% of my diet, I’ve never felt better and there’s zero need to supplement with anything.

Fiber is one thing that is most important for the body to function properly. It can impact how a body can function since it is needed for muscles formation and growth and few other areas.

You have to wonder if he is really that dense or is just trolling.

Neither, I just refuse to be lead by the nose and have learned to do my own research. There’s plenty of evidence out there. These are theories I came up with myself, I follow a litany of people far smarter than I. Don’t let dogma do you in.

If they were both unhealthy before and made dietary changes and are are better off... That's Awesome!! to say to otherwise because they didn't do it how you would have did or what is considered "normal" is nonsense.

Why does anybody really care what somebody else diet is anyway.

You just might research on proper nutrition then since you seem to know very little on it.

I’ve been researching for the last three years. I have a mentor/consultant who was a senior lecturer  and taught gross anatomy, cardio vascular pathology, statistics and a few others. He’s a published scientist, empiricist and has worked with elite military and athletes, among others.

I’m quite confident in what I’ve learned. You don’t like it? So be it, no skin off my back, but I doubt you’ve put anywhere near the time and effort into this that I have. I admittedly still have much to learn, but much of what you’re arguing is elementary level stuff. Swallow the conventional bullshit if that’s your prerogative, it’s just not for me.

I was very unhealthy and had to make a serious change. I did my homework and looked for a final solution before I opted for bariatric surgery. I spent a couple months weighing many options before I made my final choice. Damn near anything is healthier than the Standard American/Western Diet. However an understanding of physiology, biochemistry and nutrition can point you in the way that is most optimal and I’m satisfied that’s what I’ve discovered after 2 years.

I don’t care what other people eat, it’s their body and their choice but I do loathe seeing lies spread as though it’s “settled science.” I’m happy to share my many resources and let people decide for themselves. I’m happy for everyone who makes the decision to improve their lives and I firmly believe nutrition is one of the most impactful ways to do so. I just want to see people make informed decisions.

Any dietary change is better then opting for the blade.
