So I’m not a huge fan of resigning Williams, the key for me will be the guaranteed money when announced, but what he does give the Panthers is some depth in case of an injury to either Kalil or Moton while offering another option at LG besides GVR and Mahon.

Dude (#93?)fell down noticed where he was (next to Williams knee) and re-fell into #60's knee. I don't remember a fine nor flag. Just as bad as the no-call shots Cam took. That was f'd up.

I'm glad he's back they look good on paper and if everyone can hold up physically the line should be very good this season.

Details on Daryl Williams’ 1-yr contract with Panthers: $2.25M in salary, $3M signing bonus, $750k in roster bonuses. Williams can make another $500k if he makes Pro Bowl.

Looks like he's going to count $3 million cap space this year. With Paradis' cap number being approx $4 million Hurney will still be looking for a decent FS or DE on the free agent market.

PANTHERS SIGN C MATTHEW PARADIS

I entered the off season with a great deal of concern regarding Carolina’s offensive line. Outside of Taylor Moton and Trai Turner, there was very little to be enthusiastic about with the unit, especially with long-term center Ryan Kalil retiring. While all indications were that Paradis would sign with the Jets, Carolina swooped in and inked Paradis to a 3-year, $27 million, securing one of the league's best centers to a value contract.

The Panthers will go as far as Cam Newton takes them. Cam Newton is only going as far as his protection holds up and that’s why offensive line was such a top need for the Panthers. Despite fairly limited resources in terms of cap space, Carolina wisely used it to bolster the front five. Carolina complemented the Paradis signing by re-signing Daryl Williams and suddenly the unit is in much better shape than it was a week ago.
