We should have a sticky mock draft thread here...

Since we don't yet, I'll post this here. Just ran one on Fanspeak and this is what I came away with.

16: R1P16
LB DEVIN WHITE
LSU
47: R2P15
C DALTON RISNER
KANSAS STATE
77: R3P13
S DARNELL SAVAGE
MARYLAND
100: R3P36
EDGE JOE JACKSON
MIAMI
115: R4P13
EDGE JALEN JELKS
OREGON
154: R5P16
RB DARRELL HENDERSON
MEMPHIS
187: R6P14
G DRU SAMIA
OKLAHOMA

I was never in a position to grab one of the top DEs, really, although Ferrell was there at 16. I opted for White because I think he's a stud and would fit nicely here.

Risner I saw as a value pick, as he could probably go in the first round. I know none of these sites are perfect, and Bradbury was still on the board, but I think Risner fit what we need more right now, a RT prospect with experience at C and the likely ability to play guard also. Bradbury, I feel like, is more of a true Center, and I think Paradis has us covered now.

Savage was kind of a reach imho. I wasn't happy with what was available, and it was likely a little early for him. However, he perfectly fits our nickel need and/or could play FS well as a cover safety, even though he is a little smallish. In a perfect world, I would have traded down (not a function on their site) and got him a little later plus another pick.

This left me really needing to get some EDGE/DL guys, so I doubled up on the next two picks. In the spirit of doubling up, I got two JJ's. These are guys who I think are projects, but have all the physical tools of solid contributor-starter status players written all over them.

I rounded out the draft with getting one of the more underrated backs IMHO, and an inside mauler for the OL.

Love the 2nd thru 4th round picks..

My issues are..

1. No day one DE starter.. Both of your rushers are development prospects..

2. IMO Lb isn't a 1st round need.. We are already kicking out for that position.. Shaq on a prove it year and we have 2 development players needing reps..

3. I wouldn't take a RB that high. We still have Fozzy and it isn't hard to find a backup RB as a undrafted FA or there will be vet RB available later..

Other than this solid draft..

Great job OP...love that mock.

just did this one...

16: R1P16

EDGE BRIAN BURNS
FLORIDA STATE
47: R2P15

NASIR ADDERLEY
DELAWARE
77: R3P13

RB DAMIEN HARRIS
ALABAMA
100: R3P36

ROSS PIERSCHBACHER
ALABAMA
115: R4P13

QB RYAN FINLEY
NC STATE
154: R5P16

WR JAKOBI MEYERS
NC STATE
187: R6P14

BEN POWERS
OKLAHOMA

1st 2 picks great.. Than the RB pick in the 3rd is a waste..

5th round QB meh..

Like the oline picks..

Imo we need more than 1 dline pick in this draft because how deep this draft is in that position.. You should get a development OT somewhere in this draft as well.. Sub one of the guard picks for that..

Still 1st 2 picks would make me happy thoe..

1. If a top ot is available at 16,it is a10 year pick, not a reserve pick

2. The owner clearly stated, the guy who owns the team, what he expects and that is protecting  the franchise.   The franchise is Newton

3 the odds of a top level DL Being there at 16, are not great

I don’t care how great the DL is, if the QB has two seconds to throw,it is 7and 9 or worse

what does Brady have a lot of in the pocket.  The answer is time

how many more rings does Brady have the Newton again?

There's a lot of issues with this post. I'll try to address them all:

1. We addressed our tackle position with Williams. You don't use a first round pick for insurance unless you don't have any holes which is not the case for us. I can buy using a 3rd round pick but first rounders are way too valuable to use just in case someone gets injured.

2. If you're going to use the injury excuse, based on that rationale, we should draft a qb at 16 since Cam is coming off his injury and qb is far more valuable than offensive tackle.

3. Brady gets his throws off quickly which helps him avoid pressure. It is kind of hilarous that you are insinuating that the difference in super bowl victories between Brady and Newton boils down to offensive line play.

4. New England clearly agrees that the offensive line is so critical that they let their starting left tackle, the most important position on the line, leave in free agency 2 years in a row (Nate Solder and Trent Brown).

5. If Williams and Moton stay healthy, a first round tackle will get buried on the bench this year and probably the foreseeable future. Then what? We'll be happy we took them just in case someone got injured? How does that help us over the next 10 years? A defensive end is far more likely to help us not onlu this year but for the future.

6. If a top end defensive end isn't there at 16, then like I said, there are other important holes to fill likely to have an elite option. If we don't sign Williams, I agree with you. But why waste money on Williams if you're not planning to use the signing to devote your draft and free agent focus elsewhere?

Idk if we need to draft HB. There are TONS of FA backs out there and they are signing for pennies. Give me Buck Allen, Jeremy Hill, Crowell, Powell, Yeldon. They can all catch a little so, really, whoever wants to come for cheap.

Also, this is Hurney we are talking about so pencil in at least one guy that plays corner but he is a shitty corner but maybe he has the body for a safety. He gets one of these guys every draft and they are all terrible .
