That's the part that scares me the most.  We need to get younger.  This guy probably only has 2-3 more years of declining productivity before he's out of the league.  He's definitely no Julius Peppers.

His contract would make it a worthy risk.  Almost no financial risk if we need to cut.  Really interesting.  The Vikings are in a good spot to ask for a lot of comp.

I applaud him for his dedication to improving his mental health. I really do. It take some courage to open up about that dimension of oneself, particularly in that arena.

That doesn’t mean I want to sign him. But I do understand (to a degree) his pain and what he’s fighting.

Agreed, but it's still a medical red flag. I'm not opposed to the moves we've made at all, but we can't keep piling up moves with significant question marks outside of play on the field.

Tepper didn’t make his money on blue chip investment. He had to takes a lot of risks to build up Appaloosa into the management company that it is. I didn’t expect him to be to not take risks here either. This could be a great move if it works out

I'm happy for him and wish him the best, same as I do others in similar situations.

With that said, the Panthers aren't a charity. They're a football team.

Their job is to win football games, not do nice things for players who need help.

Yes, there are times when you can do both. I'm not convinced this is one of them.
