Panthers will not renew contract of Eugene Robinson, per sources. Former NFL safety had been team’s radio color analyst since 2002.

Sounds like Panthers are hoping to get another former player to take Robinson’s place.

For the love of god get rid of Mixon. Robinson was bad and this is a good change but Mixon is a million times worse. He needed to be the first to go.

Steve Smith has a nice TV gig and he’s not the type to do radio color anyway. That’s below his talents. So he’s out.

Drawing a blank on other former Panthers in the media right now that could be options.

Maybe Ryan Kalil? No experience obviously but he does have the speaking ability for it.
