Be Careful What You Wish for......

how does he rack up 325 yards passing then?

you dont throw for over 300 yards by making bad decisions and not accurately throwing the ball.

Did he SUCK yes- but he is still capable of wining in this league.

Let's compare yesterdays game against Weinke's performance in 2006 against the Giants.

Delhomme - 27/44, 325 yards 0 TD, 3 INTs

Weinke - 34/61, 423 yards 1 TD, 3 INTs

Even Weinke was good for a touchdown pass every now and then. Since he can throw for 400 yards he must not have been making bad decisions and he is surely capable of winning in this league if he can do that.

Um...benching Delhomme doesn't mean we are in rebuilding mode. A change in QB can immediately turn around the team, unless you don't remember Peete being benched for Delhomme, or how Brett Favre got his start (if you can remember that far back). I'd never wish an injury on anyone, but some of the best QB's in the leauge were discovered by injuries to the starting QB (Kurt Warner, Tom Brady).

On the flip side, look what happened when McNabb got benched last year - McNabb's play improved and the Eagles rallied all the way to the NFC Championship game.

So don't tell me be careful what I wish for, because the reward outweighs the risk here. For that matter, what risk? The Panthers couldn't even beat the Buffalo Bills for Christ sake. The Panthers offense outgained the Bills by 300 yards and 15 minutes in time of possession and STILL lost because of turnovers, mostly by Jake. It's time to cut the crap and admit he just isn't the guy anymore. I still respect him and thank him for all he gave in his years here, but his time has come and gone.

John Fox hasn't declared him the starter for next week yet, so time will tell...

I feel just as bad about it as you guys. But I think the timing is very wrong. I dont this this is the right time.

After Arizona, then sure. But I think this is mental, I think Delhomme needs to play the Cardinals to get out of this funk.

This isn't a goddamn soap opera you insolent twit.

Jake sucks. There's no mojo that Arizona stole from him that he can get back IF WE JUST GIVE HIM ONE LAST SHOT. *plays Eminem*

Look, I know there's absolutely nothing to do in Alaska besides ice-fishing and raping Inuits, but stop doing so much LSD.

IMHO, I feel that we should throw Moore out there against Arizona, see how he handles the pressure, if he can move in the pocket and make decent, accurate throws, then he should be the starter from then until he fug's it up, I think if someone gave the kid a chance he could do at least somethin, maybe get smitty back to being an asset, or just handing the ball off who cares, I get scared anytime the ball gets near Jake's hands, even if he is giving it to someone. Start Moore at 15:00 in the 1st quarter of the next game, if he sucks then put whoever the f**k you want back in because at that point we need to start finding a QB to lead this team.
