so Arizona is too tough a situation to put Moore in? What would be better? New England? New Orleans? Atlanta? It doesn't get any easier from here so it doesn't matter when we put him in Jake isn't going to get the job done anymore.

Best way to beat Arizona is to run the clock, run the ball, and use short passing and don't turn the ball over. Who would have known that that gameplan coincides with what Jake Delhomme is incapable of contributing with.

Jake isn't throwing INTs on short passes, except for the route that Smitty changed at the last second. It's the long passes he can't manage. :)

Jake, Feeley, it doesn't matter any more. But don't start Moore this weekend, wait until our next home game if he's gonna get the nod. Just my own humble opinion.

I agree we need to let Matt Moore have a shot- I just dont think against the Cardinals.

You have to think Jake will get on track on Sunday.

That game will be more than personal for him. No matter what is said this week, that game is going to make or break Delhomme forever.

I believe he starts, wins, and gets his head out of his ass.

We can be that offense that scored 30+ points a game again. Its all the same personnel so it has to be mental.

You "believe" he starts and wins? You have to think? What in the past 6 weeks has shown you that he's capable of winning? a Naked Bootleg on 3rd down? It's more than just mental, it's physical ability now. He's making bad decisions, but in addition to that he's just not accurately throwing the ball. He's throwing to the right people, he's not getting the ball there on time, he's not throwing the balls to the optimum spot.

I honestly don't know where you got the indication that just because he's playing the team that ruined his career that he's going to do well. Just because we ruined Daunte Culpepper's career doesn't mean he's gonna do well against us.

Jake has a greater chance of screwing this game up even worse than he did in January.

I don't think Home games are going to help Moore near the end of the season when the fans have already stopped coming.

Jake isn't throwing INTs on short passes, but he's not getting first downs either. I wouldn't trust him on short passes though. At least with the long ones, it's like a punt if they don't return it. On Another note, our offense seems incapable of tackling on interception returns. You'd think that'd be something they work on considering the past 6 games.

how does he rack up 325 yards passing then?

Also- 1 int tipped

the other 2 you could just argue that they guy was in the right place at the right time.

not to mention the fact that the same defense has 5 ints the week before. Anyone figure that the Bills defense is just that good?

It happens

you dont throw for over 300 yards by making bad decisions and not accurately throwing the ball.

Did he SUCK yes- but he is still capable of wining in this league.

Here's what's going to happen folks, so listen up so you won't be surprised.

When delhomme finally gets the hook, one of the other quarterbacks is going to be put in. He will play awful. Can't move the ball, can't get the big play, he'll turn the ball over a lot. The offense will become one-dimensional.

At which point the fanbase is going to be split: go back to jake or go to QB #3. If another change in the lineup happens, it will be even worse, and the fanbase will resoundingly want to dump all of our QBs and start from scratch.

Not just a prediction. A definite reality.

A reality I've observed following the browns for many years.

AK, I usually see the point in everything that you are trying to say. However, this time I have to disagree.

I have supported Jake big time for the past 6 1/2 years....even up through last game. However, he is now HURTING this team.

There is a difference in a QB that is not making plays to help the team win...and a QB who is making plays that put his team in VERY BAD situations.

Jake is spotting the opposing team 14 pts a game...it is that simple.

He has lost his confidence, he has lost his game. I still do not believe Moore is the long-term answer for the Panthers. However, Jake is not getting it done.

Like I said, I do not blame this situation on Jake. he is struggling mightily for some reason...we know it, he knows it. I fully blame Fox for this situation. He has been the once to refuse to adjust for the situation. He just keeps trotting Jake out there HOPING that things will change. If that is his idea of effective coaching, then he needs to go TODAY.

The tipped ball was tipped by Smitty, meaning it was inaccurately thrown or mistimed. The first INT, he overthrew Barnidge.. pretty bad. Overthrows are inaccurate passes, being in the right place at the right time isn't the call.

If the ball was tipped and flew about 20 ft downfield to a guy who turned around and just happened to catch it, that's "right place at the right time", not someone who was in coverage at that spot and ball gets overthrown. No that isn't "right spot at the right time", that's being in the right spot in your defensive assignment. A better thrown ball and it shouldn't have gotten picked.

325 yards is bloated by 2 passes that were about 100 yards worth. Out of 44 attempts, you're bound to get some yardage through screens. In fact, based on the number of attempts, he should have gotten around 400 yards if he was anywhere where he was around 2005-2007. 325 yards is also because the running game became nonexistent even though it would have been our best bet to winning the game. When you're only passing, of course you're gonna get yards.

yardage isn't a good indicator of how well you've passed. And surely he's good enough that he doesn't throw an INT on every play. So he's gonna get some completions.

He's been doing it for a while now.....welcome aboard. Bathrooms are in the back and to the left. Haterade is on the table over there. Help yourself.

There's no guarantee that the new QB will play awful. As you've used the Browns, you can use Warner in Arizona, Romo in Dallas, and several other QBs that have taken over for struggling starters. Those starters were never struggling as badly as Jake in the first place. Another thing is, Browns haven't really had an offense and they don't really have the pieces in place.

We on the other hand, have enough pieces in place for a QB to thrive as long as he gets the chance.

I mean "now" as in this entire season.

I was hoping this was just a funk Jake was in. However, I am now conviced that he has just lost it. It happens. You see it quite often in sports. A player hits a slide that he just never recovers from.

Jake should have been benched several games ago. Now, Fox should be fired immediately if he cannot see this.
