Wow Did I miss something? Fox 8 in High Point is reporting that the Panthers may move the Headquarters and Pratice facility to SC?

Is this just political posturing to get more money out of NC, or will the Panthers really move to SC? This article seems to suggest that the Panthers could be on the move? Why am I just now seeing this???

Already, the Charlotte, North Carolina-based team has begun talks with leaders from Rock Hill about relocating the Panthers’ headquarters and training facility to South Carolina

Understood. However, the article discusses the players living in SC. Just thought this was interesting.

Charlotte is just north ofnthe border and taxes and the cost of living is considerably cheaper in SC. Lots of people live in SC and commute to Charlotte for that reason. As far as NFL cities are concerned, Charlotte is pretty cheap, but still a lot of these guys aren't making millions and their earning period is short. It matters to them.

If you don't believe the stadium will soon follow, you're delusional.

The business tax breaks in SC are substantially more beneficial in SC than NC, especially in Charlotte. Not to mention the Charlotte - Mecklenburg taxpayers are tired of footing the bill while their property taxes are about the highest in the state.

York county is effectively a suburb of CLT, would be no reason for any of the players to move. Not enough space in uptown to build a state of the art practice facility/complex like most teams have nowadays and SC is very aggressive about providing incentives.
