Lol patriots? How many top WRs do they even have? I don’t even recall hearing their name one up yet in FA. Obviously they will be terrible per the usual.

This is always such a stupid take.

They have the best HC QB combo of all time.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but all I'm saying is, his philosophy is to cut his nose off to spite his face.  Yeah we got to a Superbowl, but not properly addressing the tackles or replacing Smitty's production cost us the chance to win it.  And that was his doing...  except with Smitty he didn't try to get any value and just outright released him.

Same thing with Norman.  He got his feelings hurt in negotiations and had to show him who the boss was and released him.  Very short sighted...  and we still have problems at corner today.

And again, you're discounting that the biggest contributors to "his" winning teams were Hurney's guys lol.

But, we've all debated this over the years ad nauseam...  I guess for the Giants benefit, at least he's learned to trade guys for value instead of outright releasing them.

The only one of these arguments that makes any sense is Smith. But even then, multiple reports have surfaced that Smith was a cancer to the locker room constantly undermined the WR coaches and Cam. Regarding tackle, we signed Oher who was great before he got into issues with concussions, drafted Williams and Moton. And would you seriously want Norman's contract right now?

Are y'all pouring salt into your eyes?

Regarding the trade, it's risky AF. Don't think he should have signed Beckham to that deal to begin with, but at least they got a pretty good haul out of it. The dead money will hurt if it's true that they still owe money to Odell.

The Giants were going to be garbage next year with or without OBJ.

So they got rid of an injury prone star WR with a  massive contract, replaced Collins and got some more draft picks.

Gettleman is prone to doing some dumb poo, but I don’t think this is one of them.

On the 2015 team. Geez, no need to get your pantries in a wad.

Nooo homeboy ppl were talking about what he inherited.. You said a handful of stars .. Which is flatly untrue.. He got rid of alot if talent he had for his reasoning.  But he had a good roster coming in..

And even in 2015.. He had a MVP QB going nuts on the league (he didn't acquire that) A Dpoy LB (he didn't acquire) and a locked down CB having  his best season ever and pretty much caring the talent around him...

The take is that spending money doesn’t make you a good team.... a statement that your comment seems to agree with. In addition to having an outstanding coach and QB, they do a good job of managing their roster. They bring in talent and value and rarely get fleeced by overpaying replaceable peices.

No the problem was not doing it last year and signing a overpriced past his prime LT (Solder).. Heard this story before..

They were going to be garbage because ELI MANNING is their starting QB. How is this still being ignored?

You can have the best offensive weapons in the NFL if your QB is poo that offense wont be good.

Watch, just watch how OBJ will make that Browns offense one of the best in the NFL next year. You will see his impact with a real QB, not some dead arm vet who is 1 step from retiring.
