The thing about edge rushers are this. They are either drafted high(top 5) and become dominant or they are drafted lower and have a 70% chance to bust. Either way we will have a chance at drafting a guy who could work out no matter what round we draft him.

Paradis deal likely gives Panthers enough cap room to find either an FS or DE in FA. Can go into the draft needing one without forcing the hand in the first round, needing both probably less so.

Paradis signing doesn't necessarily preclude Panthers from bringing back Daryl Williams. But as stated here previously, that ship has pretty well sailed.

Matt Paradis will have to pass a physical (likely Thursday) in Charlotte before the signing is official. But given what's he's said about his recovery, shouldn't be any snags.
