Saw an idea floated on the twitterverse that said grab another boundary corner and use Jackson however the staff deems fit on any given play.  Jackson was used all over the defense at LSU.  I remember seeing scouting write ups with him in the slot, on the boundary, at free safety, blitzing and as a single high safety.  He could be a great chess piece to use on defense to create confusion.

This is Bradberry's contract year.  He is very good.  After this year, we're either going to pay him $10 mil per year or let him walk.  Drafting a CB in the third makes a lot of sense.

I wouldn’t even be made taking one in the second. I am not sure what their plans are with Gaulden. Is he ready to start?  I wish we would have went with a true safety at that pick. We have got to stop drafting players and making them change positions. It rarely works

Ya-Sin is another day 2-3 CB

Ya-Sin ranked

#50th overall and the #5 CB in the whole draft

Sportingnews #61 overall

Nfl.com #6 overall CB in the class

Bucky Brooks has him the #5 CB

Rock Ya-Sin has to be one of the coolest names on the draft board.

Pssssssst......Marty.  Now would be a good time to be talking to Bradberry about an extension.

Buuuuuuuut, we don't have any cap space.

Any extension wouldn't take effect until next season so it wouldn't affect our cap space this year I don't think.

This is a great idea, Hurney does some weird things with the cap including kicking the can down the road. We might actually be able to free up some money this year if they were able to agree on something but it absolutely fugs us if for any reason down the road Bradberry's game falls off a cliff

Not sure why you would think that at all... I think they could be the best CB group since 2015.

Jackson is an emerging Pro-Bowl level talent, Bradberry was solid for the most part, and Cockrell was signed to be a starter before his injury.

It's certainly not the worst group in the league and far from many of the CB groups we've had under Rivera.

How well they hold up with a pass rush that has a lot of question marks remains to be seen, but on talent alone, the group is solid.

Just because we have guys returning doesn't mean we are set.  For those that are high on Bradberrry and Jackson what are they basing it on?  Bradberry's first year seemed to be his best.  Jackson had flashes but its a littler early to be talking about Pro-Bowl.

I am in the minority but I would like us to get a bigger fast press corner and move Jackson to the slot where he will be most effective.

That seems too logical.  Maybe Cockrell earns one of the outside spots across from Bradberry and Jackson can move to slot.

Either way I will never mind us drafting a CB.  I am of the belief that you can't really go wrong drafting OTs, Edge rushers, or CBs.  Too important and too expensive.  I can fill out the rest of the team in free agency cheaper and easier.

We HAVE to get some pass rushers and hope KK is back to his old self.  If we have this, everything else on D will take care of itself.

Until the other team throws quick passes and the pass rushers don't have time to get to the QB because our secondary has to play soft.
