There is good reason to be complaining. We wouldn't even have been able to sign most of the big name FA's anyway because they would have wanted money we do not have to sign them to a contract

Actually we can do what we want in free agency and sign who we want if we want to restructure contracts and backload them like New Orleans is doing.  We chose not to do that and since we are under the cap now, we don't have to worry unless a new contract would put us over the cap at which point we will make moves to stay under the cap. Since we are waiting to shop why do we have to clear any cap until we are ready to sign someone? That is what we have done under Hurney and Gettleman.
