It sucks for me bc I’m surrounded by colts fans and I told them all year he isn’t that good. Now they have him and he will go off like Lafell did for the Pats that one year.

Honestly, I think we haven't had good receivers coaching since Proehl left. Once upon a time, both Benjamin and Funchess looked quite good. And then after their first season, each started going down hill. Makes me wonder if that one season is about how much time it takes to lose what made them good in college.

That would result in several aneurysms here if it happened.

For this year, anyway, he'll be the number two to T Y Hilton. Honestly, that's not a bad role for him to be in.

He will.

He has TY Hilton who can stretch the field, a good TE who can go in the middle , so he will get some good targets if Luck can stay healthy.

He will Ihave a good year. He is betting on himself for 1 year and will probably win that bet

FYI.... He is going to look great in camp for them. He usually does. It's in games he fizzles and gets intimidated by 5'10 defensive backs

He will have his best year there. He has a healthy QB and will have a chance at playoffs.

I'm not so sure we had great receiver coaching when Proehl was here.

That could very well be the case, too. I do think it has gone downhill, though. Maybe Hostler will be able to bring something to the table this year. He seems to have a good resume and 19 years of experience as a coach on the offensive side.

Receivers should get better with experience, not decline. Maybe they saw what we have with Moore and Samuel and want to put some effort into helping them reach their full potential.

Edit to add: He was also the Raven's WR coach for their more recent Super Bowl run and worked with Torrey Smith back then.

I think we had better options than Hostler, but Norv Turner probably doesn't want anyone who could challenge Scott for the OC job once Norv is done.

That said, here's hoping Hostler does a good job.

Overpaid, but only one year and they've got loads of cap space, so even if it's a mistake it's not a long term one.

If?

We're talking about a guy I wouldn't have wanted back if we could've finagled a way for him to be literally free under the salary cap. Good riddance.
