What do you expect? When you make graham gano one of the highest paid kickers in football and you give Torrey Smith 5 million when you can cut him for nothing and you keep searcy and refuse to June 1 cut Matt kalil then you just don’t really give yourself a shot.

then again do you really want the morons who are making these decisions also making decisions on high prices free agents? No you do not.

Collusion against safeties? This happens all the time in this league. Market for a position goes in cycles.

Yeah in one season? Tanks then explodes with 80+ million dollar contract the next year? Reid and Vaccaro getting 1 million to play then the next season 20+ million dollar contracts all after the collusion case was settled? Could not be linked.....no way.....

    • Yeah but jumping up in the draft to get a project #2/3 WR is just plain not smart. I am down on XL because the thought was that he could be a potential #1 WR and he has been anything but that so far. Also, the idea of him as a slot is even more upsetting because you pass on several more productive slot guys(McConkey being the most obvious) that were TREMENDOUSLY more NFL ready. I was not a fan of the XL move at the time and I am not a fan of the decision in short term hindsight either. He is just simply going to have to be a guy that proves it on the field to me. McMillian was my #1 WR in this draft and I was a pro-McMillian guy. However, he isn't gonna get treated with baby gloves either. We are in the era of rookie WR's putting up 1k+ yd seasons with regularity. He's going to(barring injury) have to be one of the top 2 or 3 WR's in this class in terms of production. And that's being very generous to him. He really needs to be THE guy from this class. It isn't like he is gonna have a lot of guys taking catches away from him.
    • Thought this was an interesting moment of candor. See the 2:00 min mark. TD said he made the decision that he wanted T-Mac as our 1st round pick back in January. Dan chimed in and said he made the decision early as well (indicating the same time frame).
