Beason On Jake...

Jake doesn't "deserve" a damn thing. NFL football games aren't kindergarten tee ball games. They're products of business decisions. Jake Delhomme isn't getting paid to be John Fox's friend. He's there to win games. He can't do that, so it's time to move to someone that has the potential to do what Jake can't.

Couldn't have said it better myself!

As much as I'd love to see Jake come out and just embarrass the Cards the way they did him I just don't see it happening... As someone mentioned above if Eli Mannning comes in and throws 3 picks I just cant find it within myself to see Jake doing any better. The Cards are however ranked last in pass defense so I guess Jake could theoretically have a good game but I can easily see him forcing it to Smitty and throwing a few picks to Cromartie or the safeties.

On that same note I think that if you're going to bring in Matt Moore at any point this season this seems like the most logical point. Our schedule is about to get brutal so why not give Matt as well as the rest of the team the opportunity to build some confidence in the passing game. At the very least you have to begin looking for Jakes replacement and we need to know if its Moore or if we need to draft somebody. Just my thoughts...

if matt moore comes in now we are looking at finishing 5-11

maybe 7-9 if we are lucky

yeah but could it honestly be any worse than what we're looking at with Jake? I think we may have to acknowledge that there isn't much positive we can take from this season apart from our improvement on defense and the emergence of Thomas Davis as a legit NFL linebacker... I just want to know if Moore is the guy so we dont have to worry about it come draft day.

Jake is a liability. He has always been on the fence and gone back and forth from hero to goat and now he is just too far gone.

For gunslingers it goes like this. Gunslingers are ticking time bombs and when they finally explode as Jake has and the coach still has faith the entire team becomes a ticking time bomb.

It is VERY hard for me to believe that Jake has as much actual "support" as is constantly verbalized.

I mean they are football players and all but they are not that stupid

Does anyone honestly believe, that Jake is gonna redeem himself against Arizona.

There is no way, no how.

So why continue to put the rest of the team through this bullshit.

If Jake plays the Cards will do EXACTLY what they did last night to the Giants to Jake. Jake can't even make the throws with little pressure as proved again this past Sunday. There is no way this team can put Jake back out there to turn it over.

If Matt Moore can take us to 7-9 with the teams we're facing for the remainder of the season, he deserves a long-term contract.

Exactly man... It's going to be brutal with or without Jake. That means Moore is looking at being 5-4 while facing the Cards, Saints (twice), jets, Dolphins, Bucs, Falcons, Pats, Vikings and Giants...

I'll take a game manager in these games who gives us a chance to win with a healthy dose of Double Trouble and some Solid Defense rather than Jake airing it out to the other team...
