So much for the theory that the league doesn't value strong safeties. That was obviously just away to discredit what is turning out to be a very sound Reid contract

Another example of the huddle needing to let free agency play out before deciding Hurney is a fool. So before you start getting hysterical over:

1. Matt Kalil's place on the team

2. The Torrey Smith extension

3. Our lack of free agent signings

Let's remember how silly the people criticizing the Reid deal look after seeing this insane contract for a strong safety (and the other safety deals thus far outpacing Reid's too). It's just day 1 of free agency, people.

Torrey Smith wasnt even extended. They just exercised the option to keep him since there is zero financial or football reason not to hold on to him at the moment

Lol everyone is so salty about people who called Reid an overpay. Objectively, it was at the time. This could reset the safety market and we may actually come out okay. It'll change my thoughts for sure if it happens.
