If Moore does NOT start this Sunday

I would love to see Matt Moore start next week, we have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Nobody knew Tom Brady would be Tom Brady untill Drew Bledsoe got hurt and got his chance to state. Nobody knew Tony Romo would be a good QB (it pains me to say that) untill they finally put him in the game and let him show what he could do. My point is we will never know what we have in Matt unless we give him more than 3 games at the end of the season when we have nothing to fight for, who knows maybe he can save our season...

Matt Moore is capable of winning games. He's also capable of not being the one at fault for losing games. We had a chance to win in all the games he started in 2007. We won 2 of 3. Most of his Interceptions have come in during garbarge time when we've had no chance of winning.

One game was all that it took for Brady to shine. Moore has had his opportunities to come in and turn heads, but he hasn't. I agree with you regarding Moore over Jake, but personally I'd rather see Feeley.

Vinny started in place of David Carr IN Arizona. It's possible. I don't know how many games it will take for fox to realize how much of a liability Jake Delhomme is.

Heh, I was at that game and got heckeled before walking tinot the stadium cuz I had my 90 jersey on. That was the ONLY game he came alive for that year. :rolleyes: Oh, and Vinnie had an amazing stiff arm on a defender on one play.

Anyway, that's a good point. Fox was REAL quick to pull Carr for fears he might get booed. But nevermind the win as long as Jake is in. Fox just tries to save face and shield players from criticism instead of thinking about the big W. Hey Fox! If you can hear me and the rest of the fans, if you do you'll probably hear a loud hiss ringing in your ears ALL THE TIME. You know what that is? That's the collective boos culminating in the heads of the Panther fan base.

If this was a home game I think Moore starts.

But the fact that this game is in Arizona and not in front of the home crowd, JAKE starts.

He will be on a very short leash, but he starts.

I think you're right on. I would bet if you check out the sideline next Sunday Moore will have his helmet on and not his ballcap.

If John Fox wants to save his job,which probably isnt going to happen anyway, he needs to do something about Delhomme but are the Panthers willing to pay Jake the guaranteed 20 million they will owe him on the idoitic 5 year contract they signed a 35 year old quarterback who wasn't even that great last year,especially in the playoffs.

The Panthers probably can't win more than 3 or 4 more games but with Jake helping the other teams the way he has been,I doubt if they can win even one more game with him at the helm.

It bad is it when you see your starting QB go to throw the ball, and your butt clenches (!), and you think to yourself "OH GOD, NO!! HE'S TRYING TO THROW THE BALL AGAIN!!! SOMEBODY PLEASE STOP HIM!!!"

I've always liked Jake, but CLEARLY his best days are behind him in Carolina. It's time to move forward....with someone else!

the Panthers have one of the very best RB tandems in the league! One of the very best WR's in the league! Revered O-line most teams would kill for ! Whats missing from this ??? A QB that throws 3 INT's a game.

I wonder what Fox is smoking-Jake needs 3-4 games off to clear head and refresh his body or something but to keep playing him will not do Jake any good...

Fox can't make up his mind? What else does he have to see? Would 10 interceptions in one game do the trick? We might just see that if Delhomme starts against the Cardinals Sunday.

jake will start for the first half or so. fox will give him one last chance to right the wrongs and miraculously trounce arizona. 1/100 that it'll happen, but the possibility exists. if jake sucks (99/100 it'll happen) he'll get pulled at halftime and moore will go in.

Anyone who knows about the QB position and saw the games Moore played in when we were playing badly all round the ball would have seen that he was an immediate upgrade from ANY QB that had played for us that year. I am by no means saying that he is the 2nd coming or even the future BUT what I am saying is that:

Matt Moore = Good pocket awareness

Jake Delhomme = NO POCKET PRESENCE AT ALL (Stands there gets sacked or allows fumble or strip)

Moore = Spreads ball around the field well

Delhomme = Focuses on Smitty or King 85% of the time

Moore = Can scramble somewhat

Delhomme = Slow as molasses

Moore = Does not throw as many INTs as Delhomme

Delhomme = Throws as many INTs as the whole league combined

You can say start Feely all you want but he couldn't do it in PHILLY for God's sake; with Andy Reid for that matter.

Wiki "After a string of ineffective performances from Carr and Vinny Testaverde, Moore started his first NFL game on December 16, 2007 against the Seattle Seahawks. He led the Panthers to victory against the Seahawks while completing 19 of 27 passes for 208 yards without a turnover. After a tough loss against Dallas the next week, where he had a touchdown and an interception all the while completing 15 of 28 passes for 182 yards, he threw for two touchdowns in a road win against Tampa Bay. Moore was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month for December after these performances."

Just sayin'...
