Antonio Brown traded to Oakland

Seeing it was just a 3rd and 5th to get Brown is a bit of a bummer, knowing Hurney might have been able to Olsen him from the Steelers

But on the flip side dude is a head case and probably going to wither away in Oakland for a couple seasons before he has a late career resurgence with 45 year old Tom Brady

The 3rd and 5th round pick may be a bummer (any team would have given that up for Brown) but the 16.7 million cap charge this season and 30 million guarantee over this year and next is the issue....

Two thoughts...

1.  They couldn't pay in his prime Khalil Mack though? GTFO

2. Derek Carr reportedly cried on the field last year and had relationship issues with teammates.

Enter arguably the biggest diva WR in the league, on the downswing of his prime, paid as the highest earning WR in football, and unafraid to call out coaches, players, etc.?  With Gruden, Mike Mayock, and Mark Davis in charge?

This will be fun.

Well said! It will be exciting to watch and laugh at this.  Oakland was looking competent at last then they hired Gruden again and it went back to Al Davis times. I take this team as seriously as their owner's hait cut.

The Steelers need to get rid of him and Le’Veon— they tore the team apart this year. The Steelers were looking like an AFC contender and those 2 tore the heart out of the team.

It’s also the Steelers fault too though,... Antonio was getting paid less than half of lesser contemporaries, so he was getting bent over with no Vaseline.

I’m wondering where Le’Veon ends up now?

All trades had to be contingent on Brown getting a completely new deal making him the highest paid WR annually. Few teams have the space want to make that kind of commitment on a 31 year old disgruntled receiver. The trade value was low because Steelers had zero leverage and very few buyers that could meet Brown's demands. I'm glad he's not in the NFC at least.

So in other words Brown got what he wanted. Mr. Big Chest gets what Mr. Big Chest wants. Steelers got punked by Brown.
