You'd think we would have had some sort of private workout with Barron if this were true. We had plenty of them with other first round prospects but no Mark Barron.

Pretty sure we made several first round picks under Hurney with players we didn't work out. Seemed like we always drafted players we worked out under Gettleman.

Maybe. There is record of Luke and most other first round prospects  but not Barron.

Agreed. Gettleman wanted Dion Dawkins but the Bills jumped ahead of us to get him. We settled for Moton.  Thank god for that one.

Word was we had Laurence Maroney ranked ahead of DeAngelo Williams but the Patriots traded up for Maroney (I get a chuckle out of that story).

One of my favorite instances was Todd Kinchen being on the phone with the Packers. They were hoping to block anybody else from calling him, but the Rams drafted him anyway.

The poor, outfoxed Packers had to settle for some guy named Robert Brooks :)

Couple of receiver visits:

Jordy Nelson is visiting the Seahawks. I could see him working well with Wilson provided he can stay healthy.

Meanwhile, Randall Cobb is visiting the Cowboys. Cobb hasn't turned out to be the receiving king that many thought he would be, with the thought of him paired with Amari Cooper is certainly intriguing.

Pretty savvy of Miami to trade Tanneyhill to Tennessee before it became known they were signing Fitzpatrick. Once the news on Fitzpatrick hit, everybody knows they are moving on and Tanneyhill's price probably goes down.

They traded Tannehill and a 6th for a 4th and a 7th in return. Tough to go further downhill than that.

Decent situation for Tannehill in Tennessee too. Mariota has never played all 16 games in his career, so he has a pretty good opportunity to see the field at some point next season. I don't think Mariota is exactly entrenched as a starter either. After a really promising second season he hasn't done much since. He's averaged less than one TD pass per game for the past two straight seasons.
