It’s voidable years added like we did with Paradis. They already had $18m pushed into next year with Brees so I’d assume this ups the pushed amount to almost $30m. When he ever retires there will be a year where he’s there in cap space but not on the roster.

Dead money will be $20 million next year, but Saints had Colt like cap room next year anyway so it doesn’t matter.

Has to be more than that. It was $18m. I can’t see how you can open another $11m and only bump the $18m to $20m. It’s easy to move money around and push it out, but you can’t just remove it.

Just looked. $21.3m. Maybe the $18m I remember before was not correct.

Yeah. Dead money next year is irrelevant because if the cap space. A lot of guys to resign but there’s a lot of room to play with. Especially considering it will either be a rookie QB or Bridgewater on a cheap deal.

May as well keep punting that ball with Brees salary. If he took up the entire salary cap in dead money the year after he retired it wouldn't matter a bit. They will be a bottom 10 team the instant he hangs it up.

Saints have built one of the youngest rosters in football and just went to the NFCC on the back of the defense and running game. This isn’t the 2011 Saints. It’s one of the top rosters in football.

Last time I looked, there were only 21ish or so players under contract next season, so that 100+ will go quick.

Plus they can add players with their 1st - 4th draft picks.......................

Cause there’s so many holes to fill lol.

Season hasn't started yet you dont know how players are going to perform (every team)

Jags and Vikings had the same thought process winning with the defense and running the ball not many holes to fill
