It's absolutely fair for the Steelers to try to trade AB. It's also absolutely fair for AB to make it known to a team inquiring about a trade offer that he doesn't want to play for them. I don't see that anyone is "wrong" here.

You can't force someone to play football. And even if you could, would you really want him on the field. All he has to do is run the wrong route in the 4th quarter, and pick 6 you lose.

100% agree with that. Seems pretty obvious at this point that he's trying to force a trade to a very small list of potential teams or force his outright release. I see virtually no chance for him to get the latter from the Steelers.

Cut him right before the season when good teams are low on cap room.

I think they'll get the trade they want or they'll sit on his contract and start fining the hell out of his as soon as he starts missing required activities. Force him to play, accept the trade they can get, or retire.
