If Smitty was standing in the way of this being Cam's team, what would your move have been instead? (Genuine curiosity)

i don't think you can anoint someone a leader, either people follow you or they don't, we see a similar situation in pitts trying to force there team to acknowledge Ben as there leader in which he's never been. Cam's a leader but not the type smith is, which isn't bad, i think you need both at different times and situations, which worked well during the 2013 turn around.

What kind of logic is this? Why would we go back 3 years when there was a different gm and qb in place.....please explain the logic behind that. Berated is a whole different animal than suggesting he would pull something similar to Ken Lucas on cam. You’re not making sense, you’re,  wasn’t ever part of the best team nfl, we’ve never been the best team in the nfl.....have you forgot no rings.....

As usual. You’re completely wrong. Check the times. This is before that post you put up of mine. And was the first mention of different GMs. Pick one of the posts where I ask you why you even brought them up. Cause I will. And you show me say Hurneys team(as a necessary description) because you mysteriously brought both GM into his value per season.

Now. Anything else you want to make up. It’s getting sad the length you will go to not to say you did it. Kee posting useless rants. I’ll stand by everything in this thread. You feel good about lying. Do what you gotta do. Post something else that proves my point. I’ll just sit and laugh.

And why during all that do you leave out the 2013 season where he declined. From the seasons before. With issues in the locker room, it was time to go. Him being an asset where he ran the show was over. And he’s way to proud to step down.

I don’t have to back peddle. But I’m done until you produce the post where “I tried to bring Hurney into this” For the 5th time deflecting from it, either show me or admit I didn’t do it. I’m tired of going in circles as you avoid it. Stay Hypocritical.

We had a very conservative but efficient offense in 2013. We didn't take many deep shots that year. His stats may have dropped, but his play didn't decline. Without him we wouldn't have made the playoffs.

Oh, yeah. Rob Chudzinski is known for being overly conservative and rarely taking downfield shots :)

Ok let’s dumb this down, you first off specifically ask why not use the last 3 years and I stated why, I asked you why are we using the 3 years before dg got hired and you reply because if Smith production, which was outstanding 2 of the previous 3 years from 2013....so again sit down. You get called out it seems in every other thread posted on here, try again.

So far you’ve stated smith had been released because his pattered behavior that could have led to him attacking our qb, which is ridiculous, production, and cost....in which all 3 I’ve proven you have no idea what you are talking about but reaching like a short person to turn off a ceiling fan.

We saved 3 mil or so while taking on 5 mil dead money, his production still had him as a top 15-25 WR in the leauge, and he didn’t punch Flacco or any other teammates while with the ravens like you predicted that would happen here

There's a guy in New England who disagrees with you.

The reality is that most franchises treat football as a business, and the vast majority of players understand that. Players here, however, knew that the owner and his "family" way of running things put their happiness above winning (which is a big reason why we did so little of it).

Once we got a GM who actually ran the business like a business, they started howling. And Richardson, no shock, was a stupid asshat and fired a successful GM basically for doing his job like it's done by successful franchises around the league.

And now, we're back to having a GM - and a head coach, to boot - who want everyone to have happy happy fun and end their careers "on their own terms".

that's great if you're a player. If you're a fan who likes seeing you team win, not so much.

BRAVO!

We had no money and Steve wouldn't take a cut. We where completely choked by very bad contracts and Steve's was one we could free up space with. Pretty simple. They way it was handled was completely unacceptable but it doesn't change the facts it was necessary. We couldn't afford a replacement in FA and the best WR we could get was Benjiman, who had 1000 yards.

He wasn't spot on, DG was never a long term option here. It wasn't how JR wanted things handled pre and post cap hell bail out. He burnt his bridges along the way and when him and Ron split after the Norman fiasco, it was the perfect time to bring back a JR guy again. JR got what he wanted in the end and we have been a worse team since then for it. Ron and DG were at there best together, flawed but highly functional. Don't be a egomaniac dick and dont be a blind enabler of feeling based decisions. Neither of them are capable of not being those things so it came to the inevitable conclusion.

Cam wanted Smitty gone, had nothing to do with the benjamins.

Thomas Davis wanted Gettleman gone, had everything to do with the benjamins.

The DG praise is nice when you ignore all the terrible football decisions he made which have directly led to the deficiencies in our roster. Pure poo first round drafting, letting hone grown talent go and reaching for more poo draft picks to band aid the situation  might be good business but its downright awful football.

Our OL, secondary, and now DL are the direct result of Gettleman mistakes. Let's not pretend he was good just to be an argument. Reality is the likely both arent good GMs. Gettleman, for all the good he seemed to do his first two seasons (if that) really poo the bed on average

Why would Cam pen Steve Smith a letter right after he was relased? An enemy would do no such thing.
