Drafting an OT in round 1 is by far our best option.

The thinking that we have to pursue a specific position with our first round pick is how you reach if the one or two guys you covet are gone. Plus with more of a 3-4 hybrid on passing downs we don't need a traditional 4-3 DE to rush the passer. If a top OT is there then take him. If not then pick up an OT but in can be in the second or third round if there isn't that much difference after the first few are gone. Then you can look at other needs and there will be plenty since Hurney rarely makes a big splash in free agency.

I'd prefer a center as the choice, but I wouldn't complain if we took a tackle, particularly an LT.

Offensive line has to be the first priority to protect our investment in Cam and make the most out of CMC.

We do need help on the D-line, but we have to lock down the offensive line before anything else.
