2 positives I picked up from the game last night

With all the talk about Jacobs being that indestructable back...did anyone else crack a smile when Harris jacked up Jacobs at the goal line :D

Also, Mark Jones seems to be that "one tackle away" from breaking into the open field for a Touchdown on Punt and kick off returns, he seems to always get to that second level...seems like a much better option then Robinson, and could turn out to be a key player in the playoffs.

Yeah, that was a nice hit. I'm really liking how Jones is turning out for us, he could become a feared return man at some point. I'd like to see us block a little better for him. Though he needs to not assume every ball behind him is going to roll in the end zone, we've gone up against great punters who've pinned us because of that assumption.

I took away a lot more than just 2 positives.

Rushed for over 150 yards and 4 TD's.

0 sacks allowed

28 points on the road against a top defense.

1 penalty the entire game.

Jarrett adds another clutch catch to his resume (doesn't have many catches, but he's made them all count)

Baker had a very good night punting despite a strong rush.

ZERO turn overs.

Still plenty of stuff to work on, but I was very happy with how last night went...outside of 300 yards rushing and the loss.

Here's what I'm happy about. The Giants are cocky. They think they just gashed us for 300 yards on the ground. Well they did so against Hayden and Gibson. Ward is going to have a rude awakening when he tries to go up the middle and finds Kemo using up two blockers and the only hole has Beason poised on the other side of it.

Also, Brayton had a pretty goos night

And finally, I still think there's a chance the Giants don't even make it to the NFC championship game. And if we win next week, we'll get to host it.

I'm with you Joat. We played good ball in a lot of places. We showed up ready to play and didn't get blown out. Giants have been an awesome team all year, this was our measuring stick with the defending Super Bowl Champs. We're ready to contend (once we shore up this run defense haha). We will learn from this and it will make the playoffs that much more exciting when we head back to Jersey.

Yeah, along with those 2 positives, I was pissed we lost, but every team falls, its how they get back up that matters.

If it wasnt for the run game against us, that game would have been UGLY.

This team is different from panther teams of the past, it seems they have yet to get a "big head" like teams of past, then get fall on their faces when it counts...this team plays great against great teams. Alot of that has to do with chemistry I believe, and everyone seems to be on the same page, just the run couldn't be stopped last night. Other then that, we played an overall solid game.

Fox/Hurney knew coming into the season that they were short on talent at DT. They got by for 14 games but got bit on the ass in #15.

Brayton played his best game of the year! Steve Smith let his temper take over for a few seconds and like always it made him look like a fool and hurt the team. Again!

I also picked up a lot more than 2 positives.

* Carolina led and largely controlled the now superbowl favotire for 3 and a half quarters and lost by a missed fg at the end.

* The loss can largely can be credited to Kemo not playing. What happens when he is healthy?

* Our offense was seemingly mistake free. No turnovers, no penalties almost.

* Our offense moved the ball seemingly at will against the arguably best def. line in the game. To me the only time we stalled on offense is when we sat on the lead in the 4th.
