So now age, injury, stats, and drop rates are opinion? That’s adorable.

You mean I don’t run the team? Oh No! What to do?????????????

Did you pound your hand and stomp your foot when you hit send?  Funniest thing I’ve read today.

Your continual bitching and whining about everything the team does is truly comical.

Then pull up a chair and tip your waitresses. Because with the clown show we have running things, material will always be available.

Don’t like it. Too bad. If you could rationally dispute the things we are complaining, you would. You try and fail. But it’s always “may happen and “could happen” and look at his career but only the parts that help my case.

Care to explain how anything listed about Torrey was an opinion.

And the beat reporter is speculating (in a tweet no less).

Perhaps they will ultimately keep him. If they do so, it will be because they value him differently than you.

If they keep him it means I lose even more faith in this front office and coaching staff....which is almost impossible to do at this point.

Paying 5 mil for a backup WR isn't smart.  I get the leadership role and the coaching staff has shown a liking to having that one vet in the room so I know why they'd do it but you have Jarius Wright for that already or find a cheaper option there (even if its cutting and resigning Smith at a lower rate).

Damn right! Jarius cost half as much and actually played very well, particularly on 3rd downs. He also knows Turners offense (vet presence) and is reportedly a very positive locker room guy. Right now we have Wright, Moore, Samuel, and Byrd. It looks like the writing is on the wall for Funch. Maybe pick up a cheap vet FA with a little tread on the tires, draft a speedster after the first 2 days, and lets roll with those guys. Even without the $5M, Smith wasn't good enough last year to warrant keeping him around.

Behind whatever Oline combinations we will field this season, it may be best to not have the QB holding the ball too long too often. With William's gone, we have serious need to upgrade 3 positions on the Oline. Torry is not worth $5 million. Could he be useful, yes but only at the right price and that is not on his current deal.

I can agree with this.

Yea. no DJ (off the bench)made way more plays than Smith before and after Cam seemed limited

True, but DJ was catching the short route passes and turning them into long gains by channeling 2003 Smitty. Amazing work, but they were almost all short passes to begin with. That's just not Torrey's best game. He doesn't work well in traffic, but excels in the drag race game.

If Cam's arm comes back, we need a guy that can stretch the field and make use of Cam's range. Of course, all of this depends on Cam's recovery. We don't like to talk about it, but it's there and there's a chance that last year will be repeated. I hope it doesn't, because I don't want Cam's QB career to end like that, but we have to keep that possibility on our radar until we see differently.

Byrd doesn't have a contract at the moment

You obviously don't know the definition of rationale, and I'm not going to explain it to you.

Saying that Smith is not worth his contract is subjective. Plain and simple. You probably don't know what that means either, if your history is a good indicator.

Well, that's you and your thinking. It's not mine. I have a great amount of faith that Tepper will right the ship. If he has the patience at this moment to let things play out---work themselves out---hoping for the good, but also very much cognizant that everything can go bad, I understand and am fully on board. But that's me.

Saying Smith is not worth 5M is a conclusion supported by numerous facts.

Your counter to that is the typical Hope and pray and may and could. Because that’s as far you can go with this conclusion of yours.

The day you explain anything to anybody will be the first time. It’s become more like this. I can order a Torrey one if you want. EF0F12A1-2BD1-40A0-A208-8934527C4AD3.gif.5ffd6ec2db2afd8fc20f97d6ce4dd1f8.gif

LOL....Tell me the difference between that video and you ranting to leave the “team” alone. It’s exactly what you whine about every day.
