Chiefs listening to trade offers for Dee Ford?

His first two years in the league, he played behind two veteran starters at his position (Justin Houston and Tamba Hali).  After 2 games in 2016, KC finally cut bait with Hali and Ford became a full-time starter, getting 10 sacks in 14 games started.

In 2017 he was out 10 full games with injury and parts of others so, no, he didn't have a great 2017.  Injury does that.

In 2018, as a healthy full-year starter, he got 13 sacks.

Which is to say, in summation, that what you claim above isn't even close to being true.

The primary reason that Carolina should avoid Ford is because of his size.  He's a 3-4 OLB and would be a disaster at 4-3 DE.  Unless we are going to a near full-time 3-4 set, Ford isn't worth the trade or the contract.

However, if we ARE going to a near full-time 3-4 set, he's likely easily worth the trade and every penny of what you would sign him for.

Did i say he wasn't a great pass rusher and not worth trading for?

No, but you did say:

Ford has only played up to his potential in his money year.

Which, as I pointed out, is incorrect.

I mean I know pedantry is a thing, and fair enough, but my main point was that he might be on the trade block bc they gotta extend chris jones and Tyreek Hill. He can get after the QB so that'd net them a high draft pick probably and he's prob worth a second.

1.  Reading your actual words and responding to your actual words is in no way, shape, or form "pedantry".

2. Another reason why they are willing to let him go is that they have a new Defensive Coordinator.  Guess what style defense he runs?  You guessed it... a 4-3 defense.

That might have been the straw, but the entire 2nd half of that game up to that point was KC coaches and players NOT named Dee Ford overloading that camel's back

Yea im joking but i think the  Chiefs are changing from a 3-4 to a 4-3

It is when it doesn't invalidate my main argument that they need to resign Chris Jones and Tyreek Hill, too

And i pointed out how pedantic that was

Correcting something you said that is incorrect doesn't live in the same universe as being pedantic.  You can keep on saying that it is, but that only means you're compounding your first incorrect statement with a second.

You did provide good stats, and we kind of agree he's a good pass rusher worth trading for?

He's a good pass rusher.  He's not worth trading for if your primary defensive formation is a 4-3.

Yep.

Don't get me wrong, I love me some Dee Ford.  People who understand my background know exactly why.

But he'd be an utter waste of money and traded draft picks in a Ron Rivera 4-3.
